Default Grant Fields
Service Area, Grant Type (for which we use NTEE codes), and Grant Advisor must be entered for every grant. It would be helpful if the Service Area and Grant Type were default based on the profile of the grantee, and the Grant Advisor were default based on the fund.

Similar to this request is the ability to bulk update ALL fields on a grant once in the new bucket. It would be a huge timesaver and eliminate the need for many different ideas to be implemented.

Please make this happen - esp the Grant Type and Service Area fields!! And quickly - we desperately need this before our annual distributions process beginning in July! This is exactly the idea I came here to post.

This would be such a time saver - and yes, editable, because there is always an exception to the rule.

Agreed. Our organization would like grant type to default according to the Profile/Grantee Profile "Grant Type Interest" but be editable. And agree with comment that it makes more sense to align it this way rather than from the Fund source, as much of our granting comes from DAFs which give to a wide variety of grantees .

Have the ability to set a default grant type ie. Healthcare, Education, Human Services so when a grant gets generated for that grantee, the grant type carries over to the grant.

These should auto populate into the grant when creating the grant, but be editable.

Our organization also agrees that it would be much more sense to have the grant type follow the organizational profile and populate based on that versus the fund. There are some funds that have a specific grant type purpose, but regarding the majority especially for donor advised funds, the grant type can change for every single grant.
