filter selections showing "invalid" error when editing a report
Very frequently, when updating a report filter, this error comes up on a new page "Invalid reporting action ',editfilter'" - you have to go back to the report and select the filter again.
Please fix this issue and allow us to only select the field to update once when editing a report.7 votes -
Giving Hub pages not optimized for social sharing
When sharing direct links to pages within the Giving Hub, there are no defined metatags (og:title, og:image, og:description) which means the link preview in social media sites (or other places it's shared digitally, i.e. new Outlook) is empty/blank. This is not optimal for marketing purposes and particularly when we'd like donors/orgs to share direct links to donate pages and/or to campaigns.
The same is true of the landing pages for each section of the Giving Hub.
We could, I suppose, create a page on our org's native website "news" feed to correspond to each campaign for the purposes of social sharing, but this is not efficient.

Pop-up Communications for Fund Advisors that show in the Portal
Would really like the ability to create customized communications that would appear as a pop-up in the portal when a fund-holder logs in to share things they are working on, foundation news, funding opportunities, etc. with fund advisors.

Add Yearly-Tax Receipt to Portal in Files or Statements
Create option to generate yearly tax receipts via a template (like we can with Fund Statements) that we can add to the portal in either Statements or Files. Currently donors can see and print their receipts individually, but not a yearly tax receipt. A yearly tax receipt on the portal would be an great addition!

Set Redirect Legacy Fund Advisor Portal option to go to username and password or allow that as an option
The new "Redirect Legacy Fund Advisor Portal" option goes to the email address login page. We would like it to go to the "?userpass=1" page instead so the fund advisor gets the username and password prompt to be more like their previous experience for ones who just bookmarked the old link. Can this be added as an option or as the default for when that option is turned on?

anonymous grant record details from portal
When a grant request is submitted through the portal and requested to be anonymous, the record that it was requested to be anonymous should carry through all stages of the grant. Currently, the grant requests in the portal tab show whether the grant is anonymous, but once the grant is created, the Online Grant Request details do not show whether or not the grant was anonymous. It would be helpful to have this here for easy reference, especially for funds that do not always send grants anonymously.

Only open funds in FUNDS search bar
We used to use the Funds search bar to only search open funds. When we wanted to search all funds, including closed funds, we used the main search bar in the top left of the main screen.
Having open and closed funds in the main Funds search bar takes so much more time and is a hassle to have to sift through more similar fund names. We were required to set up test funds when we started with Foundant that we were not allowed to delete out. Now these test funds continue to show up on the Funds bar when they used to only show up on the main search bar.
We would appreciate it if you would reconsider opening up this functionality to only include open/active funds in the Funds search bar.

In Portal Options> Portal Settings allow the settings to be more granular. For example, allow 'profile updates' to be set only on profiles with 'Student' designation.

Add Salutation as a Required Field to Checkout
Please add a salutation field to the checkout screen and add a checkbox that can be used to make this field required/not required for all donors on a site.
This would allow the option for a salutation to be created and entered in the salutation field in CSuite and save us from needing to manually enter salutations for new donor profiles.

Include Nick Name and Birth Name Fields in Profile Search Results
Please include the nick name and birth name fields in profile search results. This will allow us to search for individuals with a nick name or who have changed their name, and will also help prevent the creation of duplicate profiles when we do not get the expected search results.

Add functionality to Import bulk Year-End Receipts to Giving Hub (Donor Portal)
It would be very helpful if we could bulk add year-end receipts to the portal so our fund holders can view their year-end receipt with all gifts in one receipt in one place. Fund Statements are generated and posted on the portal so it seems like the mechanics are in place to do something similar for year-end receipts. It would be great for our donors who have a fund, especially those who make multiple gifts during the year, to be able to view/print a year-end receipt from the portal.

Add Campaign to Voucher Import
It would be great if an additional column for Campaign could be added to the Voucher Import template. Importing vouchers helps a lot, but it would be even more helpful if a campaign could be tagged during the import as well. Thanks for considering!

Catalog request submission page: disable "submit another request" button
As the nonprofit completes the Grant Catalog request form, they're prompted with a with a "submit another request" button. We'd like the option to disable that button. We only allow nonprofits to submit one request per Catalog and this feature is confusing for them. If there could be an option to Allow

Make Profile address fields/windows longer on screen
Please make the visible on-screen Profile address fields/windows LONGER. When you are entering a particularly long address, it is difficult to keep track of what you are entering.

Online silent auction
An option for an online silent auction including a way to add photos of the item and logos of donating business. Include a payment link for the winners.

Tribute information fields should be added to Donation Notify Email Content
We need the fields for tribute information on a donation to be available to pull into the donation notify email body content. Right now, the tribute fields aren't available for this template.
We send agencies notifications about donations made to their agency endowment, and we need tribute information to be included. If it's not, the agency doesn't get the full context of the gift.

Add ability to COPY internal grants in new Portal
In the new Portal, in Grants / Grant History, it's possible to COPY a previous external grant, but not to COPY an internal (i.e. fund to fund) grant. See attached screenshot. Why? Can this functionality be added?

Tax Receipts: Separate fields for Donor profile and Donation Advisor
Please create separate tax receipt template fields for the Donation Advisor profile that mirror the currently available fields for the Donor profile (salutation, legal name, org contact label, work title, organization, recognition name, etc.). While it's helpful that the address fields beginning in "addr." will change depending on if there is a Donation Advisor applied to a particular donation, we still have to make manual updates on every tax receipt letter to correct salutations, etc. when we have a Donation Advisor applied to the donation. Creating two separate sets of fields would reduce both the staff time spent making these corrections and the chance that an error would inadvertently make it to a final letter sent to a donor. A simple IF conditional on users' tax receipt templates would ensure that the Donation Advisor profile information is merged when it exists and that the Donor profile information is merged when a Donation Advisor does not exist.

Investment activity on Fund Summary dashboard in portal
I posted on this topic back in October and recently the Foundant folks said it was implemented in the new version of the portal. But the way it was implemented doesn't really fit with what our fund advisors are looking for, so I'm giving it another shot! We've tested the "Show Donor Portal Investments" option in our sandbox and it does not provide the activity we want to share, or that our fundholders are interested in. They're looking for net investment activity for the most recent month available.
Our big wish is to display net investment activity from the most recent period (month) on the Fund Summary screen. We know we can pull this field into a statement of activity, so I'm wondering if we can work with Foundant to find a way to display it on Fund Summary, pulling from the same field as we do for our statements of activity.
