  1. Create a Board portal. A place to put documents, ByLaws, minutes, agendas, governance documents etc. Board would login here to retrieve documents for meetings instead of email and re-emailing with changes.

  2. A great enhancement would be to indicate which fields are required when creating a new record (profile, donation, grants, voucher, etc.) --- such as an asterisk to indicate that a field is required. This is a well-known standard.
    Currently, the only indicator is an error message when saving/posting.

  3. Please format the "amount" field for all Content notifications to display as $#,###.## (e.g., $64,500.00). Formatting currency with commas is essential for clarity, especially with larger numbers.

  4. We are continuing to have problems with Fund Advisors telling us that they are not receiving system-generated emails from us. We believe this is because the name and the email address do not match. That is, our organization's name is in the sender name but the domain in the email address is fcsuite.com.

    Has there been any discussion to investigate the possibility of changing "no-reply@fcsuite.com" to what is entered in the "Default Email Reply To" setting in Systems Data?

    We believe this would pass more smoothly through spam filters.

  5. Enable sending automated emails from the organizations actual domain via the use of domain authorization rather than sending everything from fcsuite.com.

    Emails from fcsuite.com are confusing, often caught in spam, and it is impossible to ensure that every online customer recognizes and properly whitelists it. This has caused significant overhead on our staff to manage missed communications. In addition, some organizations spend a lot of time and money to build their brand reputation and improve name recognition within the community.   6. When filtering a custom report on a field with dozens or hundreds of entries (Ex: fund account listings) you currently need to check one... checkbox...at...a...time. This forced exercise in patience and eye-straining focus is simply unjust. We don't need the carpal tunnel injury lawyer sharks to start circling our Foundat dev team. Let's agree that the humane solution is to grant the user the civilized option to hold down shift while selecting between checkboxes, to auto check all the ones between them. Just 2 clicks needed for a range, not 200.

  8. Has Foundant explored the idea of creating their own mobile app for CSuite? I see a lot of requests related to making content more mobile friendly and responsive. I know you are revamping the donation pages with this in mind. But what about if there are staff members who could be helped by having a true mobile app with limited functionality? I'd bet there are many that have to be in the field meeting with folks for at least part of their day, and they would find great benefit in being able to quickly look up profiles, view grant and…

When individuals unsubscribe from Mailchimp emails, it is impossible to discern if they want to unsubscribe just from marketing/ communication emails and who should just simply be marked "do not email". If Foundant could add choices on emails that indicates something to the effect of, "Marketing Emails" and/or "Foundation business" as boxes to check as options, similar to "mailing" or "inactive" for mailing addresses, that would be very helpful. Currently, if someone unsubscribes from a MailChimp blast, there is no way to realistically remove that person from marketing email blasts unless you go 1-by-1 and remove them from every campaign…

  10. One of the most limiting things about using Foundant is the lack of connectivity to other platforms that we all use. Even in cases where there is some integration (like with MailChimp) that integration is extremely limited.

    I found those ideas all via one quick search in the Idea Lab for the word "integrate." I bet there are many other requests that could also be solved this way.

  12. It would be nice to have a feature to sync attachments in GLM &/or CSuite over to the other rather than having to attach in both places. Ideally, we would be able to pick which attachments we want to sync over. For Community Grants, we start our process in GLM so we start attachments here and then sync to CSuite for final processing. For Donor Advised/Designated Granting we start in CSuite and include attachments here then sync over to GLM for tracking purposes.

  13. For numeric fields in a custom report there is currently a "Total Column" checkbox option to total the data from all rows in that column. The total will display in a new row at the bottom of the column.

    We'd like the same thing but with the option for Average, Min, Max, Count, etc. Those are only possible now by grouping and removing all other fields. We end up with the calculated value but can't see any of the individual records or details. We can get what we need in Excel by exporting and adding a formula but would like…

  15. It would be nice to have the ability to set investment strategies by dollar amount and not just percentages. We have some funds that have multiple investment strategies and need to be able to hold a flat dollar amount rather than a percentage of the fund.

  16. Please make the update that moves quick tips to the quick reference guide an opt in / optional update. Maybe some will find this a better interface, but as it shows in this roll out video (http://player.vimeo.com/video/1086467921), it would be a big step back for us. Being able to just hover over the ? icon and see the quick tips makes the system super intuitive and easy to verify field purposes. But with this update we would have to click a link to another page and search for that field through that list to see the tip instead.

  17. We share the cost of SLM across Scholarship fund group and the cost of GLM across Unrestricted and Field of Interest fund groups. Currently, there's no way to RevShare an expense across FUND GROUPS nor is there a way to import long list for INTERNAL GRANTs. We have to hand enter each fund's share of the cost for ~200 funds. If one of these options was available, we'd save hours of our precious time.

    So I request:

    1) the option to RevShare across FUND GROUP

    and

    2) the ability to import for INTERNAL GRANTs

  18. While the updates to the menu and profile layouts for CSuite are exciting, it is really hard to look at now. I am in my thirties and I have a hard time reading the screen. Is there a possibility of making the CSuite page more UI-friendly? It's just so hard to look at and I use CSuite for like 80% of the day. I don't want my eye sight to fade away this early in my life.

  19. With the new CSuite Look that was rolled out, we can no longer customize what's on the top menu. This has impacted both our finance team and grants/scholarship team. For grants - I now have to click on Money Out or Home to get to the grants bucket (or likewise for scholarships). Will we get the functionality back to customize the top menu?

I have recently been surprised by some new implementations/announcements that are very disruptive to my work (specifically, the change in the fund search function and the announcement that there will now be a Donate button next to the grant request button in the advisor portal). Can there be a more democratic process for the ideas that get implemented? Currently it seems that the process is to get some/lots of votes in Idea Lab or to be an "important" person/organization and get your wishes granted.
