GRANT PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS - VOTE!
VOTE FOR GRANT LETTERS!!! 1 - Allow for the grant type AND grant letter template to be two custom fields on the import template. 2 - Allow the signed letters that are uploaded and saved to C-suite, to be emailed from C-suite.

budget
It would be great to be able to put alternate budgets (reforecasts) into CSuite for the same year so report on both the original budget and updated forecast. Right now, it only allows one budget per year.

Add More Fields to the Account Custom Report
When wanting to validate settings on each general ledger account it is hard to double check/verify any of the following settings as they are not possible to view in a custom report or to even export out of CSuite from the Chart of Accounts:
Functional Expense
Advisor
IRS 1099 Field
Investment Level
Financial View
Statement Account
Close to Equity Account
Vendor

Award Letter
Allow a new column under a grantee profile's Email section when you can select one or multiple profiles to be the Award Letter Recipient.
Currently when Award Letters are submitted in bulk it goes only to the Primary email address for the organization. Many times an alternative email at the organization need to receive the Award Letter, and other emails need to be copied such as the Accounting or Accounts Receivable departments.

We'd like to recommend a couple of additional customization options for the online portal:
1). It would be great if we could customize the text of the Grant Request "Description" box (specifically, we would like to be able to include instructions about what people making Grant Requests should include in that box. Right now we have some "Portal Content" text that provides those instructions, but we feel the instructions would be followed more consistently if we could change the name of "Description" -- to utilize this change effectively, we would also like to see a character limit for the box name that allows for a sentence or two's worth of text)
2). It'd be great if we could include some sort of "Terms and Conditions" pop-up when someone is about to submit a Grant Request (for example, Fundholders should not use Grant Requests to purchase tickets to a gala; rather than having that specified in the general Portal Content, we'd like a Fundholder submitting a Grant Request to receive a pop-up and be required to check a box indicating they acknowledge they aren't using a Grant Request for "XYZ Purpose")

grant payment notification for scholarships
Fund Advisors of scholarship Funds do not receive email notifications when scholarships are paid, even though scholarships are paid as grants within CSuite. Please make Grant Payment Notifications apply to scholarships. I'm fielding lots of questions from anxious FA's about whether or not checks have been sent out.

Year over Year w/ Leap Year
We're running into an issue with running year over year financials for February. The system is pulling 02/28/2025 and 02/28/2024, instead of 02/29/2024. We run quite a few comparative reports and we're having to manually manipulate the 2024 column. It would be great if the engineers could fix the coding so the system would pull the month end date, rather than a set date.

Donor Portal should display only posted donations
Currently, if a user logs in to their donor portal, they are able to see donations that are in the "new" bucket - AKA donations that are not yet posted and may contain inaccuracies.
This has caused confusion for a couple of our donors, particularly those that are also fund advisors and contribute to their fund via check. If we've just entered the check donation but it has not yet been posted, the fund advisor could log-in, see a low balance on their fund advisor portal, but then go to their donor portal and see the "pending" donation, though it looks complete to them making their fund balance appear inaccurate. Please change the settings so that only POSTED donations show up in the donor portal.

Expand Custom Field Objects List
Additional options for custom field objects would be very useful. For example, we'd like to build a custom field specifically on the student record/student designation part of a profile that could then be shared to SLM as an integrated custom field. We are also interested in building custom fields on scholarships - not on individual scholarship awards but on the profile for an available scholarship from a specific fund. We envision using this for things like eligibility criteria, number of scholarships/scholarship amount, etc.

Data Visualizations on Portal Landing Page
Enhance the donor portal to support dynamic data visualizations on the fund landing page.
Currently, the portal only allows CSS customization in the “head content” area and does not execute JavaScript, which prevents the addition of interactive elements such as charts or dashboards. In addition, the fund landing page does not expose key data (e.g., fund balances) in the page HTML, limiting the ability to summarize or visualize information across multiple funds.
Suggested improvements:
Enable support for custom JavaScript or body-level HTML in portal pages
Provide a supported method for adding dynamic components (e.g., charts, dashboards)

Assign existing profile note to an opportunity
This was a previous Idea from another user that was archived. I'm reposting it here: "Once a note has been created on a profile, it isn't possible to assign that note to an opportunity. It needs to be deleted and then added to the opportunity. It would help if there were an option to edit the existing note and assign it to the opportunity." This would be extremely helpful as sometimes we have discernment meetings that are captured via notes, but the opportunity does not exist yet. It would be great to be able to either copy these notes or link them to a new opportunity so we easily reference the entire evolution of the relationship.

Please remove the requirement for a description when creating a grant in Community Suite. I'd say only a third of my grants have a description. Now I have to do a workaround to include a description in order to create the grant, but edit and remove it so that my grant check template works.

Add Cause/Category Filtering to the Public Giving Hub Fund List
We manage over 900 funds, and donors visiting our Giving Hub have no way to filter by cause area, grant type, or service area. For a donor interested in Animal Welfare, Arts & Culture, Education, or Disaster Relief, browsing an unfiltered list of 900+ funds is not a workable experience.
The data already exists in CSuite — grant type is assigned to every fund. We just need it surfaced as a filter on the public portal.
Some foundations have built custom fund directories outside the Giving Hub to solve this. At our scale, that workaround isn't feasible — it would require constant manual upkeep and defeats the purpose of an integrated system.
It would be great to let administrators choose one or more existing fields (grant type, service area, or a cause category) to appear as filters on the public fund list. This would benefit any foundation with a large fund portfolio and make the Giving Hub a genuinely scalable donor experience.

Fund Advisor Portal - make Fund Steward email address a hyperlink
We noticed on the Legacy Portal that the Fund Steward email address is a hyperlink but on the Fund Advisor portal, it is not. Was wondering if that is something you can enable?
