Add Ability to Filter Donor Report by “Has Not Given Between X and Y Date”
Many foundations need a quick way to identify donors who have not made a gift within a specific date range (for example, donors who have not given during the current fiscal year or within the last 12 months).
Currently, users can filter the Donor Report by Last Donation Date, or view Year-over-Year donation columns, but there is no simple way to directly filter for donors who have not given between two specific dates.
A few examples of common use cases:
-Identify board members who have not yet made a gift this year
-Identify lapsed donors who have not given within the past 12–24 months
-Identify previous donors who have not yet given during the current campaign or fiscal year
-Build stewardship or re-engagement task listsWhile some of this can be approximated using the Last Donation Date field, this does not fully solve scenarios where organizations want to:
-Exclude donors who gave during a specific period
-Identify donors who gave previously but not during a specific timeframeSuggested enhancement:
Allow users to filter donors using logic such as:-No donations between [Start Date] and [End Date]
-Has not given during Fiscal Year X
-Has not given within the past X monthsThis would significantly streamline donor stewardship workflows and eliminate the need for exporting data to Excel or using custom reporting for additional filtering.

Improve donor rollup reports
Donor rollup reports don't rollup First Date nor Last Date for donations made by an Individual member of a Household, or when a donation was Advised. This is confusing and deceiving, since Rollup Reports are supposed to help reflect all giving from or associated with a Household. There have been several other IdeaLab submissions related to this issue but dismissed due to level of engagement - maybe those Ideas should be "rolledup" to accurately indicate interest in this being fixed by Foundant.

Donor Portal Financials - Only Allow Reporting on Closed Periods
We would love to enable the option for fund advisors to run manual fund statements or view financials. However, if we enable this, they can run these on any time period, closed or open. Until we close a period, information in an open period should remain internal only and not be available to fund advisors as it is subject to change. We have donors who would get upset if they saw something change from one day to the next.
Can the portal be configured to only allow financial reporting and manual fund statement generation for fund advisors within closed periods? I've been told that investment reporting only occurs on closed periods, so it seems like the functionality may already be available or easily converted to be similar. Obviously, staff still need the full access, but the donors do not need this confidential information until we are ready for it to be published.

Connected Profiles in Notes
While there is the current ability to copy (duplicate) notes, it would be extremely helpful to have a Connected Profiles field, just like we are able to do with Opportunities. That way, if a note needs to be updated/edited, all connected profiles will show the update/edit. As of now, we'd have to find all copies of the note and update/edit each one separately.

Re‑run a Charity Check Directly from the Grant Record
Allow users to re‑run a charity check directly from the grant record. Currently, users must navigate back to the organization record to perform this action.
Adding this option at the grant level would reduce extra steps, save time, and streamline workflows, especially when managing multi-year grant payments. It would also help ensure ongoing compliance by making it easier to verify charity status before processing grant payments.

Enable Charity Check Option from the Voucher Bucket
Grants can sometimes remain in the voucher bucket for extended periods and may require a charity check before processing. Currently, there is no option to perform this directly from the voucher bucket.
Allowing users to initiate a charity check from the voucher bucket would streamline workflows, reduce extra navigation, and help ensure compliance for grants that have been pending for longer periods.

Totals on Fund History
Can we please have totals when we are looking at grant and donation history detail within Fund History, especially once a filter is applied. It would be so helpful and avoid the extra steps of exporting to Excel each time!

double the donation
We use Double the Donation as an external vendor to help donors find information for their company matching programs. It would be so helpful if there was an integration with Double the Donation and Foundant to share donor contact info.

Grant Notify - make this setting fund specific
We have donors that hold multiple funds. They want to be notified of grants from their DAF but not their scholarship fund. Currently there's no way to specify notifications for different funds.

An Inactive address should not be an option when selecting Print Envelope. Only the active addresses should be an option.
Upon searching I see this was noted in 2023 but do not see that it was ever addressed. We had to inactivate a bunch of addresses that were provided by NCOA and we noticed that when selecting the "print envelope" feature within a person or organization's profile, all of the listed addresses populate to select from...even the "inactive" ones. Because of this you have to select the back button to confirm the active address. Please list only the active addresses and the top option should be the primary address. Please do not show the inactive addresses.

Need to easily confirm data within the Data Visualization Tool
The data visualization tool is a great addition. However, I would like to be able to review and check the data that is being pulled into the charts, numbers, and graphs. Currently the only way to check the data is to create a separate custom report, and then cross check with the data visualization. Ideally, I should be able to click on a chart/graph/number in the data visualization tool and it should automatically bring up the data that is being pulled into the visualization. Manually creating a separate report to check each data point is a bit frustrating and redundant.

Add Donation Advisor as Receipt Template Merge Field
Simple, or maybe not so simple, request to add “donation advisor” as a receipt merge field option.
For us this would allow build out of conditional formatting related to acknowledgement of Donor Advised Gifts. See original support email below for reasoning and/or more details.
I was hoping you could help us finalize a new template we are developing for our “simple acknowledgement” receipt. This is the version we use when we want to provide a record of the gift but intentionally do not include tax language.
The issue we are running into is that I have not been able to locate the correct merge field for “donation advisor.”
What we are hoping to accomplish is to include conditional formatting that acknowledges gifts advised through other organizations. We currently only use the advisor field when a contribution comes from a source like another donor advised fund, so we are trying to apply logic similar to what we use successfully for tribute gifts.
In plain terms, we are aiming for:
If “advisor” is not blank, then display:
“We have received the grant you suggested from {{recognition_name}}.”Here is an example of similar conditional logic we have working:

Implement an easy way for our fund advisors to make an internal donation from their fund to our Community Foundation fund. Right now, it's done through Grant Request but this requires a number of steps and is not intuitive.

1099 - Add Mailing Address to Report
The 1099 report pulls the Primary address for a profile, but we need it to pull the Mailing address, the Primary for us is the Physical address. Please add a column for the Mailing Address so that we do not need to check each profile and update addresses before submitting.
I also suggest that you add a column for primary email address as then we could email the 1099s through the filing systems.

Add a total to the AR Detail page
The AR Detail screen gives you totals for each timeframe. It would also be helpful to list an overall total for that profile, like listed on the main AR page.

Task Email Reminder to include task description (re-open archived idea)
The description is included with a completed task notification, so reason stands the system should also be able to include it in a task email reminder - this would greatly improve task management utility and integration with outlook/Microsoft365 tasks.

Indicate required fields with an asterisk
A great enhancement would be to indicate which fields are required when creating a new record (profile, donation, grants, voucher, etc.) --- such as an asterisk to indicate that a field is required. This is a well-known standard.

Profile Type Report - Total Profiles
We would like to be able to run a report or somehow be able to see how many Profiles have a specific Profile Type. There is no way to quickly access this in a single report - we have to run a report for each Profile Type, then see how many profiles populate. Having a list to easy reference the number of profiles that have a Profile Type would be helpful to keep the data clean and up to date.
