  2. New applicants should have the ability to copy applications from previous users. As of right now, new applicants/users can see the history but have to completely reapply instead of copying previous information over. Nonprofits will not always have the same person applying for funds year after year and if a new user is assigned as an applicant to an organization/nonprofit, they should have the same abilities as those before them.

  3. Resurrecting a request from another user that was archived.

    We would like our applicants to be able to upload relevant documentation to their accounts and also processes, such as invoices, voided checks, to ensure that their successors have all information on any awards that they may need in the future.

    Original request submission:
    We keep insurance certificates and audits on file for our applicants (who submit multiple applications per year). We don't want them to have to upload these key documents over and over again to every single application or followup that they submit.

  6. Users may find it helpful if Foundant updated the language on the applicant-facing pop-up that notifies users of existing request drafts. Currently, the pop-up provides link to the existing draft(s) and two buttons: Apply and Cancel, which does not seem to be intuitive for navigating to an existing draft.

    To reduce confusion, would it be possible to change the Apply button text to Start New Draft. This updated language would clearly indicate that selecting this option will create a new draft rather than continuing with an existing one.

  9. Our grant approval workflow include setting the value for custom fields in the grant approval form (grant subtype, type of support, etc.). Then the Service Area and Grant Type need to be added after the grant is synced with CSuite. It would be SO helpful to be able to set the CSte Service Area and Grant Type field here as well so that coding does not have to be done in two places. In other words, change from a read-only field in GLM to an editable field like the custom field are.

  10. It would be very helpful to have a custom Notes or Comments column available that admins can write directly in on the dashboard, especially since pinned comments are not currently an option in SLM.

    Use case: 1 universal application submitted turns into 5 scholarship applications, so 500 UA submissions could lead to 2500 applications in submitted. I as an admin then go in by student and vet their applications before marking them complete.   12. TLDR: I'd like to be able to reuse a snippet of a form on another form, perhaps from a library of snippets.

    Let's say in 2023 I built one great form and copied it 20 times so that all my forms built in 2023 used the best practice of sharing their fields (variables). Now in 2024 I have a new group of fields - budget or demographic fields that I need to add.

  15. Here is a common scenario. An org is fiscally sponsored by a church and then gets their own 501c3 status and changes their name. In foundant, we would update the org name to say (formerly XYZ Church). When evaluators see the church name - they often ask whether services are limited to members of that church even when the org has nothing to do with the church (e.g., a food bank).   16. I wish i could use merge fields when building grant agreement forms. I have a paragraph called RECITALS that has project specific information in it. I wish I could use merge fields in the instructions questions....

Someone else requested it, but it was archived, so I would like to bring back into consideration third party reminders based on a due date (the application due date, if not a separate third party due date), instead of the date when the third party response was requested. Our application process opens several months before the application due date, and some requests are made right away. Not only will those recommenders forget by the actual due date, but it has historically seriously annoyed our recommenders to receive a reminder before the actual due date.   18. Currently we have our Board Books stored in the shared documents tab of Foundant. Each Board Book folder has multiple sub files. Each subfile can be downloaded, but it would be nice to be able to download the entire folder which would include all the files.

  19. Howdy! We are trying to increase our usage of electronic payments for grantees and are updating tens and hundreds of profiles at a time.

    As it stands now, updating ACH settings in CSuite require two separate bulk updates - one for ACH settings to add account and routing number, and the second for changing the default payment type. That means culling two reports to 'match' the profiles ID (which is the most labor intensive part of the process).

  20. We really need the ability to close an LOI and NOT HAVE IT APPEAR on the Board Members' Dashboard. The only way to remove it is to - delete the LOI, Abandon it or Decline. Those options are confusing to the applicant, because we may be considering this grant for a future grant in a different process. There should be a way to keep it on the Admin Dashboard and remove it from the Board Members' Dashboard - because it confuses Board Members - who may not be very computer-savvy, but are doing their best in this digital world.
