  1. When using the text box option for answers requiring no more than 250 characters, the text is cut off when evaluators use side-by-side functionality. The workaround is for the evaluator to drag the dotted line dividing the sections to the left, but that is cumbersome and time-consuming. It would be nice to have these short responses automatically wrap when displaying during side-by-side evaluations like the questions that use 'text area' for more than 250 character responses.

  2. As I believe it is currently implemented, a user's account only allows them a single title, but they can be connected to multiple Organization records. A person's title may vary between the organization's they are affiliated with - they may be a Development Director for one organization, but the Board President for another. I would like a person's title to be stored at the User+Organization level, not the User level.

  3. Create a web location for your SmartSimple customers to visit that displays the current system/network status.

    For clarity, when the entire SmartSimple PROD or Back-Up shared system is down for all users, let us be able to check a page to confirm it is a 'you-issue' and not an 'us-issue' to avoid reaching out to support or submitting a ticket unnecessarily.

  4. First off, I love the search bar!!! Through I was wondering if the development team add the process name/grant cycle (even if it's abbreviated). We fund programs with the same name, at the same time and or historically so when I search for a program name, it pops up a list of the programs but I cannot tell which grant cycle the program is from. We have two grant funds and sometimes we have three grant cycles running at the same time due to begin/end cycles.

  5. We have two options for a student to submit a letter of recommendation. They can ask a teacher to do this (via the 3rd party request in the system) or they can elect to upload the letter themselves.

    If an applicant starts with the 3rd party request option, but then later changes it to "upload myself" because the original recommender did not follow through, the SLM system still thinks there is a missing 3rd party request.

    The student's application stays in the "Action needed" column, even though the letter is uploaded AND it shows as 0/1 in the 3rd Party…

  6. We want to implement a green, yellow, red system to indicate concern level with some aspect of an organization's operations. would be great to have it show up in reports and when looking at list of organizations by process on the dashboard. Would be extra great to have a place to indicate the concern. Right now we are using pinned comments for this.

  7. Can we add an additional Evaluation Form option for the UA? Maybe create a third and fourth form option.
    Currently, there are only two slots for evaluation forms. We normally use both options: one for a scoring form for scholarships with an essay, and the other without an essay. But when there is a scholarship that requires a completely different form, this is not currently easily achievable without losing a lot of data.

  8. Viewing all requests on the Organization page can be slow for organizations with long grant histories. Adding a “Last 12 Months” or year‑based filter would allow us to quickly see recent requests without loading the full list. For example, we have one organization with 671 total requests, but only 32 from the past year. This would improve performance and usability.

  10. Remove archived admin fee IDs from the available option in settings. When making edits to the admin fee field in the profile settings the archived admin fees still appear which causes confusion in selecting the active admin fees. Our current work around is to change the admin fee name to include zzz or 'DO NOT USE.' I wish the system would look at the active list and connect only those IDs to the available list. Thanks!

  11. Would it be possible to add a feature that allows administrators to trigger a third-party reminder email or access point from within a students application?

    We’ve found that third-party users (recommenders, principals, etc.) are struggling to locate their original request email. An admin-triggered reminder option within the application would allow administrators to quickly resend the request and help ensure third-party users can complete their requested information more easily.

  12. Eliminate separate journal entries from being produced when there are multiple funds attached to a single journal entry. The creation of multiple journal entries makes it more difficult to review.

  13. GLM/SLM - Process Request Limit: Limit the number of requests submitted per applicant with the new 'Maximum Number of Requests per Applicant' option in Process Manager

    For the above new option, we would like to have a time-frame added to it. We sometimes use the same process from year-to-year and our applicants are permitted to apply each year. We just do not want them to submit a duplicate request for multiple projects in the current grant cycle, so adding dates would be helpful.

  14. Donation Only for Event Campaigns - Check Payments

    Currently, donors can donate to an event campaign without having to purchase a ticket through the giving portal, but if a donor would like to donate to a campaign by check, there is no option to manually enter a donation only transaction using a check payment through c-suite. By allowing us to add an additional donation with manual ticket entry, this would create much more ease in allowing donors to have a variety of payment options when contributing to a campaign.

  15. Our grant managers need to be able to use the Group Message feature for the applications list view within the Program Manager > Cycle.

    We have asked Support and Client Engagement multiple times to get this feature enabled, but we can currently only install workarounds.

    The current Group Message setting, when enabled, appears to only be available when choosing the Cycle record (not while choosing the applications within the Cycle)

    Current selection made: Program Manager > Settings > Security > Feature and Function Permissions > Cycle > Enable Group Email > Add roles here (Foundation Associate and System Admin)

  16. Simplify the email follow up event purchasers receive so all required documentation is in one email. Currently, if an event attendee pays via Stripe and covers the CC fee, they get an event email AND a tax receipt email if these are both turned on. The tax receipt email is clunky since it's not merged for event purchases. We had to turn off auto-emails for tax receipts through Stripe in order to keep this process smooth during our event sales.

  17. I asked Barksley: Is there a way to allow evaluators to submit a committee decision? He said: Evaluators can be assigned to requests and add decision comments when approving or denying a request, but there isn’t a built-in feature for evaluators to submit a single committee decision as a group. Each evaluator enters their input individually during the decision process. I have to create a separate google form to capture the committee's decision as a collective.

  18. We are trying to email our annual tax receipts automatically through CSuite this year, BUT there is currently no option in CSuite to edit the email content. You can edit the receipt template easily, but the content (email subject line and body) is the first time the donor sees. It would be great to be able to have a message that says something like "Greetings from the community Foundation! Thank you for gifts in 20XX! Please see attached document for your annual giving summary for 20XX. Reach out to me with questions at email@address.org".

  19. We have a handful of organizations that are in default for completing final reports (follow-ups) from previous years' grant cycles (some before we started in GLM). Our policy is that they are ineligible to apply for another grant if they have not completed their previous requirements. Is there a way to automatically notify them when they enter their EIN that they are not eligible and need to contact us to discuss?

  20. Trying for this idea again.

    We have many users that act as both applicants and evaluators, at different times. We frequently have users contact us because they’re not able to submit forms related to their requests as applicants. Even though they’ve been told they need to be under the applicant role, they log in, see their applicant forms right there on the evaluator dashboard, fill them out, and then can’t submit. Unhelpfully, the error message they get is that there is a prior form that they haven’t submitted, which isn’t the case.
