Quotation marks mess up letter formatting in PDF conversion
Please consider either adding error handling for the description fields for donations and grant suggestions in the portals to prevent special characters, or adjust the PDF conversion software on the back end to better handle special characters. If the Word template has conditional formatting and any text with quotation marks comes through, Word processes it properly, but the PDF conversion removes or changes the text. This results in incorrect instructions and other text fields being sent in PDF lettters. To be clear, it is correct in the Word documents and in the Donor portal, but the PDFs that actually go out to grantees/customers are incorrect.
Currently, if a customer enters a description in the portal and they enter text with a double quote("), the Word templates, such as the check letter, that use conditional formatting will work fine. The PDF documents that generate from the word conditional formatting completely mess up the description. This causes letter recipients(the Grant Check letter for instance) to get letters and other documentation in PDF format that have incorrect grant restrictions, special instructions, or other text.

Grant Confirmation Email: Grantee EIN
The Advisorrequestconfirmemailbody content has a merge field for {{guidestar_ein}}, however this does not populate with data unless the Advisor selects a grantee from a Candid search. Can a merge field be added to reference the EIN on the grantee's Org record within CSuite so that it will populate with data even if the Advisor selects a previous grantee?

Primary email for grant letters
It would be SO helpful for the primary email that gets pulled in to email grant letters be for the development person (or whoever should get the letter). This is usually different than the primary email for the grantee (CEO, info account, etc.). I think the best way to do this is on the profile have the ability to mark an email for specific tasks (primary, grant letter recipient, etc.). Thanks!

Primary Contact Field in Reports
You can set a primary contact for an organization. But there is no way to pull that into a report. We prefer not to set the contact on the actual organization profile because it then prints that name on a check. There is no way to pull primary contact as a field in a report. It would be great if this was a reportable field so we can create effective and efficient contact lists.

Batch Donation Notify and Grant Notify Emails
Send one Donation Notify and Grant Notify email per day summarizing gift activity or grant activity for that fund that day rather than, in some cases, dozens of transactional emails.

USPS validation as a report field
Give us "USPS Validated" as a report field.
Use case: We can filter our grants or voucher buckets to quickly determine which addresses still need to be validated.
As it stands now, I cannot run a report to see which profiles have a USPS validated address.

Add “Cause” Field to Nonprofit Designation for Public Display and Filtering in the Giving Hub
The Nonprofit Directory within the Giving Hub would benefit from a new "Cause" field that can be displayed publicly and optionally used as a filter. Many nonprofits support distinct causes—such as animal welfare, housing, or the arts—and donors often want to give based on those interests.
This addition would:
Help donors find nonprofits aligned with their values
Make the directory easier to browse and explore
Support future enhancements such as cause-based campaigns or communications
The field could be managed similarly to Philanthropic Interest Types or via a simple dropdown/tags on the nonprofit profile designation.

Add Filter Options to the Giving Hub: Fund Group, Philanthropic Interest, and More
It would be incredibly valuable to expand the filtering capabilities of the Giving Hub to allow users to filter funds by Fund Group and/or Philanthropic Interest Type. This enhancement would help donors more easily discover funds aligned with their passions and simplify navigation of large fund lists.
This feature would also support foundations that organize funds thematically—such as education, environment, or healthcare—and want to provide a more tailored donor experience.
Suggested Filters:
Fund Group
Philanthropic Interest Type
(Optional future ideas) Region, Fund Type, etc. What other filters would make the Giving Hub more useful to your donors? Please share your ideas in the comments to help us build a more effective donor experience.

Default Bank Account Selection per Fund for AP/Voucher Payments
It would be helpful to have the ability to assign a default Bank/GL account to specific funds, so that when vouchers are created for those funds, the system pre-populates the designated account. This would streamline AP workflows and reduce the chance of user error, especially for organizations that manage legacy funds with dedicated legacy bank accounts.
Organizations managing multiple legacy funds that have their own bank account(s) need a reliable way to ensure vouchers tied to those funds are consistently paid from the correct account without relying on filtering or memory.

Positive Pay Export - Add Option to Include ACH and Electronic Checks
It would be helpful to have the option to include ACH and Electronic Checks in the Positive Pay Export. ACH and Electronic Checks that are presented at our bank create exceptions and we manually approve them for payment on our banking website. If we could include these in our Positive Pay Export uploads, these payments would clear without causing exceptions. Thank you for your consideration.

Remove Grant Request from Left Nav Menu
In the new portal if Grant Request is turned on the Create Grant Request button displays on all the pages - which is great. However, there is a Grant Request item in the left Nav bar that is VERY CONFUSING. This does not navigate to anything useful, it's a list of past grants, that is already available on the Grants nav page. Please remove this Nav item and simply toggle the Create Grant Request button on or off depending on the system settings for this.

Check register to include all check numbers, even "combined' checks
The check register needs to include all check numbers, even "combined' checks. If there are multiple distributions to one recipient, the field is left blank. The check number should print, even if there are multiple of the same check numbers.

scholarship liability and expense account
For hardship assistance grants, these flow through the scholarship module but we would like for the accounting to not hit the default scholarship payable liability and scholarship expense accounts. Would like to see a liability and expense account added to the scholarship that can override the system defaults.

Grant Catalog Request Page - need character limits
Grant Catalogs have request submission pages. The boxes for short and long descriptions need character limits. At this time, there is a stated character limit of 250 characters on the short description, and none on the long. We use 60 for the short, and 255 characters for the long, and have to edit down every request to fit these numbers. Either let us set the limits, or please set the limits for us.

When completing a recurring task, provide option to add a note
When I complete a recurring task, it would be a nice to have the option to add a note. Currently, when clicking complete on a recurring task, the task disappears, and the next recurrence is added to the profile. For other tasks without a recurrence, there is an option to add a note. Please add this flexibility. Thank you!

Multiple Email Options for Communications
When individuals unsubscribe from Mailchimp emails, it is impossible to discern if they want to unsubscribe just from marketing/ communication emails and who should just simply be marked "do not email". If Foundant could add choices on emails that indicates something to the effect of, "Marketing Emails" and/or "Foundation business" as boxes to check as options, similar to "mailing" or "inactive" for mailing addresses, that would be very helpful. Currently, if someone unsubscribes from a MailChimp blast, there is no way to realistically remove that person from marketing email blasts unless you go 1-by-1 and remove them from every campaign created that is then linked to MailChimp. The last report we got of unsubscribes was over 400 profiles in length and we would need to cross-reference this list each time, for each campaign. That is not a workaround we, or any nonprofit, is capable of. If Foundant had the option though to mark a record's email as wanting to receive or opt-out of MailChimp emails, but still wants to keep receiving emails about fund statements, tax receipts, or other 'foundation business' this would be a great proactive step! To continue that idea, if bulk updates to this sort of feature to a list of records also was feasible, this would greatly enhance our database management goals of keeping our records updated and 'clean'.
