Opportunity Task Notes Should Display in Fund Notes Tab When Fund is Selected
Currently, when creating an Opportunity Task Note, users can associate both a Profile and a Fund with the note.
The note does display in the Notes tab on the associated Profile
However, the note does not display in the Notes tab on the associated FundThis creates an inconsistency in how notes are surfaced across related records.
Suggested Enhancement:
-When a Fund is selected on an Opportunity Task Note, the note should also appear in the Notes tab of that Fund
-This would mirror the existing behavior for Profiles and create consistency across the systemWhy This Matters:
-Improves visibility of stewardship and relationship activity at the Fund level
-Ensures important context isn’t siloed only to Profiles
-Creates a more complete view of interactions tied to a FundCurrently, when creating an Opportunity Task Note, users can associate both a Profile and a Fund with the note.

Hide historical events when buying a ticket from a profile payment
I need old events to NOT show up on the “Sell Ticket to Campaign - Choose Ticket” page. See attached picture. Right now, we only have a couple years’ worth of events, but I’m worried about how long it will get once we start having more events. I’ve tried making the old events “historical” events, but they’re still showing up as available tickets to purchase.
Additional info: I get to the “Sell Ticket to Campaign - Choose Ticket” page when clicking “Buy Ticket” from a profile payment. There are both current and past events visible that have clickable ticket links. For example, in the attached screenshot, I need to have only the 2026 Community Gathering event show and not the 2025 Community Meeting events. The only option I have right now is to go into each old event's ticket and manually make it Sold Out. While that prevents clicking buying a ticket to an old event, it does not solve the massive number of events that will be listed on the page in a few years.

Recurring Grants: Edit Amount
Currently fund advisors can edit the date and number of cycles of recurring grants through the portal, but not the amount, which is the most common change fund advisors make to recurring grants. Thus the amount should be made editable.

Notes on Shared Reports
Many of our shared reports require detailed background on how to use correctly -- for instance, when internal donation totals should be included or excluded. Right now, that knowledge has to be stored in a space entirely separate from the report itself, which leads to information-transfer challenges when bringing on new staff. If we could add usage notes to shared reports, we'd know that all staff have the knowledge they need to use reports correctly right there.
The description field is not ideal because you essentially have to save a new report every time you want to edit it.

Expand capability of "add note to CSuite" Outlook integration
Thank you for creating the Foundant for Outlook add-in with the "add note to CSuite" feature! I would love to see the "add note" function expand to include profile Opportunities. We encourage our staff to use the opportunities area to document many types of communications, so it would be great for us to have the option to use the Outlook add-in to create a note within an existing profile opportunity when an email is sent or received (maybe this could be an option nested under the existing profile search?).

Profile Type Report - Total Profiles
We would like to be able to run a report or somehow be able to see how many Profiles have a specific Profile Type. There is no way to quickly access this in a single report - we have to run a report for each Profile Type, then see how many profiles populate. Having a list to easy reference the number of profiles that have a Profile Type would be helpful to keep the data clean and up to date.

Sync Household Address When Individual Updates Address via Portal
Foundations increasingly allow donors and fund advisors to update their contact information directly through the Portal, which is a great improvement for data accuracy and staff efficiency.
However, when an individual profile that belongs to a household updates their address, the household address is not automatically updated. Many foundations use the household record as the primary source for mailings and communications, which can lead to inconsistencies and outdated addresses.
Current Challenge:
-Individual updates address via Portal
-Household address remains unchanged
-Mailings continue to pull from the household record
-Staff must manually reconcile recordsProposed Enhancement
Provide an option to:
-Automatically update the household address when an individual updates their address or
-Prompt staff to confirm whether the household address should be updated as wellThis could be configurable based on foundation preferences.
Why This Matters:
-Improves data consistency across profiles
-Reduces manual cleanup work for staff
-Prevents incorrect mailings
-Aligns Portal updates with downstream operational workflowsReal-World Use Case
A fund advisor updates their address through the Portal, but the household address remains outdated. When the foundation generates mailing labels from the household record, materials are sent to the wrong address, even though the donor already provided the correct information.Foundations increasingly allow donors and fund advisors to update their contact information directly through the Portal, which is a great improvement for data accuracy and staff efficiency.

portal demo
A potential fundholder wants to get a tour of our portal ahead of deciding whether to open his fund with our community foundation. Is there a way to give him a tour of our white-labeled portal without showing him another person’s donor-advised fund data?
Just like Foundant, or any other software company, community foundations need the ability to walk a potential fundholder through the UX of the system as part of their cultivation efforts to open new funds.

Improve donor rollup reports
Donor rollup reports don't rollup First Date nor Last Date for donations made by an Individual member of a Household, or when a donation was Advised. This is confusing and deceiving, since Rollup Reports are supposed to help reflect all giving from or associated with a Household. There have been several other IdeaLab submissions related to this issue but dismissed due to level of engagement - maybe those Ideas should be "rolledup" to accurately indicate interest in this being fixed by Foundant.

Student Probation
Not all, but some of our multi-year scholarships have GPA requirements that place students on probation for a semester. I would love for there to be a toggle or checkbox on the student's profile that would allow us to flag these students. Somewhat like an "alert" in Csuite. It would be helpful rather than keeping a separate list elsewhere.

Multifund security donation
Currently, multifund donations can only be processed via check/ACH. We would like the ability to process a stock donation similarly rather than splitting the shares up into multiple transactions.

Inactive Contact Information - Move or Hide
When a piece of contact information is marked inactive, it should either be moved to the bottom of the list or moved to a different tab. It also should not show up at the top of the profile screen.
Examples attached:
- Screenshot showing inactive address at the top of the addresses list
- Screenshot showing an inactive address in the primary address section at the top of the screen when both addresses were marked as inactive

task email
Task Email Reminder to include task description (re-open archived idea)
The description is included with a completed task notification, so reason stands the system should also be able to include it in a task email reminder - this would greatly improve task management utility and integration with outlook/Microsoft365 tasks.

Allow fund advisors to see voucher files that are shared with them
There is a workflow that will give the fund advisor access to view grant documents that are shared with them.
When the grant is created from a request, you can share the uploaded file with the advisor by marking the document as Shared. Once it’s shared at the grant level, the fund advisor will be able to see and open that file when they pull up the grant in the portal.
This same functionality is needed for Vouchers. The advisor submits the voucher with the voucher request but then can no longer see the documentation once it becomes a voucher.

Custom Reports: Using "And" and "Or" between multiple filters for the same report
For custom reports with multiple fields for criteria, we can currently select either "And" to exist between the filters or "Or". We'd like to be able to have a combination of "And" and "Or" between the filters within the same report.

Custom Reports: Opportunity Tasks & Notes
We currently don't have a way to get a report that shows both the opportunity tasks and their associated notes. Without this ability, any report available leaves out critical information, such as when tasks are completed, or when users enter a completion note. Can this be added?

birthday notifications
I had an idea that could help strengthen donor relationships and enhance our customer service approach. It would be nice if the system could track donor birthdays and send birthday email or greetings.
It’s a simple gesture, but it communicates that we see and value our donors as people, not just as numbers or contributions. Small personal touches like this can go a long way in building rapport, deepening relationships, and showing genuine appreciation for their support and connection to an organization.

Recurring Grant - Add confirmation for Delete
In recurring grant records, the Delete button is directly beneath the Edit button. It's easy to click it mistakenly, and there is no secondary confirmation screen to confirm the deletion was intentional before it's done. Please add a secondary step to confirm a record should be deleted to avoid accidental record deletion.
