Fund Advisor Portal Enhancements Please
Although the current fund advisor portal element of the C-Suite platform does offer fundholders the opportunity to make grant advisements, the process is not very engaging and the design appears to the user as more of a back-office accounting process, rather than an engaging user experience. This is resulting in limited use by fundholders, resulting in more manual processing in the advisement and accounting work required in approving the advisements and processing the grant payments. Do others feel that you would benefit form a more engaging fund advisor portal experience? We appreciate all that C-Suite does for us, we are just looking for improvement in this one specific function.

We have had quite a few advisors leave unsubmitted grant requests in the portal, even with instructions on how to submit. I would love a feature where advisors would get an automatic email when they have an unsubmitted grant request in their "cart".

Not sure if this is the best spot for this note, but it would be great to have the option to require various fields for when fund advisors submit grants through the Fund Advisor Portal. Right now we are having to do a lot of follow up on grants that don't include a grant description because we can't assume that on behalf of the donor for auditing purposes. Having the field required or be an optional toggle on as optional would be super helpful.

It would be nice to have the option for the "Donate" tab to direct to the donation link for the particular fund being accessed. Currently, it seems to go to the donation portal, but with their own fund listed as a promoted fund for that page. We have several promoted funds for normal donations page activity and it pushes their fund to the bottom (which makes it unintuitive for a fund advisor to give to their own fund). Our fund advisors are primarily concerned with making donations directly to their fund, and then subsequently granting.

This is month 3 since switching our donors to the new portal and a lot of the feedback is that we have taken our technology backwards instead of forward. They feel more limited and frustrated with the overall navigation of the portal compared to what we were using before. This is certainly not a good look.

Agree with the other comments and this portal appears to be outdated to our users. Also, I have had many ask to include "show password" on the webpage. The text box outlines are light grey and not easy to read for our donors

The ability to further customize is definitely needed. I am not happy with how the site reflects on our organization.

We launched our fund advisor portal this week to a great round of "hoorays!" However, the fund advisor names showing up as LAST NAME, FIRST NAME does not look nice and it would be really great to be able to display the LABEL NAME.

The ability to take away the Grant Request tab by certain fund groups. I feel as if this makes it confusing to some fund advisors. Not all of our funds request grants like scholarships and designated funds we automatically pay out to the org every year. I would hate to get requests for no reason if we can prevent that from happening.

I am very surprised that the "Fund Summary" does not appear on the fund's page in the Fund Advisor's Portal. This seems to be a simple link. Majority of our funds are permanent endowments with specific designations for grants. Without the summary, the advisor is not reminded about the restrictions if he/she submits a grant request once annually unless they open the agreement PDF we post in the Files tab. But that is not very user-friendly.

After our COF Donor Services meeting, I remembered an idea I had about a Donor Portal enhancement. It would be great if there was some type of notification system where donors could be emailed our have some type of alert on their page when something has been uploaded into their Donor Portal. Sharing the grant award letters on the Grant ID is a nice feature since there are no folders in the Files tab, but donors then have to go searching for the letter. If there was some type of notification that a letter has been uploaded, or a thank you letter uploaded, etc. that would be a good way to get donors interacting more with the portal. Just a thought!

Thank you for posting this idea. Enhancements are needed!

Add the option for the donor to view their password when entering.
Also, the boxes around each section are so light, many donors say it is difficult to read.

Can we also add the option to check if the fund advisor would like the grant check mailed to them directly for self delivery? Something where they can check a box.
OR better yet, can you make it where the portal is customizable for the specific organization where we can add/subtract certain features to meet our individual needs? For example, we are able to add images to the donation page and change some of the content language in system System Data.

I have heard from donors that they are hesitant to use the portal and prefer the functionality of donor advised portals at the commercial institutions (vanguard, fidelity). One advisor told me he wouldn't recommend clients to us because the system was clunky and unattractive and it reflected poorly on our brand. I know some updates have been made to add in charts that show giving, but it is still clunky and unattractive. Please mirror the experience and functionality of the corporate charitable organizations.

Right here with you on this one! Engaging visuals/graphics and platform is key (on both sides dare I day). Obviously, we all have the sweet older folks who just don't do computers, but for the rest, and to grow the group who do, this kind of upgrade is very important I think.

This would be a key component in encouraging our donors to fully utilize the portal.

We have received feedback from donors about this and would love to improve the user experience. Thank you for helping the field accomplish this!

I agree. It would be great if they could enter more than one grant at a time and could receive an email that confirmed their grants were submitted (not just that we have paid them).

Yes I think overall the Donor Portal needs more improvement, but specifically related to make grant recommendations this could use some improvement. The drop-down menus can be confusing if the organization starts with "The" and often times grantees manually enter in the grantee information because they aren't finding the correct organization in our system. A search bar would be nice instead of the drop down menus. The categorizations are also a bit confusing, and it is a bit lackluster in appearance.
Or even a messaging system where someone could send us a quick message to change an address, or ask a quick question?
