Note block view and sizing s/b across full screen.
Note blocks take up too much space vertically. I think it would be better if the note block covered the screen horizontally with all the ID and date jargon on the top line followed by the note itself. Why is it so limited in the width of the box??? You would be able to see so much more if it went across the entire screen instead of only using 3 1/5 inches across the note block.

Add back Campaign Profile Filters!
We noticed that we lost some of the profile filters when the update to campaigns occurred. We specifically are looking for the "invited to" filter where we could check past/current campaigns to add those profile lists to a new campaign. This is how we regularly build our mailing and event lists, and it was very convenient and easy for us to filter that way in one step. We were bummed to see that filter gone!

grant type guidestar
It would be great if it were possible for the "Grant Type" (we use NTEE codes) to auto-populate from Guidestar when doing the Guidestar Charity Check. Currently, staff has to manually look them up in our organization's separate Guidestar account for each grantee when processing an award.

Ability to Build Custom Financial Statements in the Reports Section
There are numerous reports that can be customized when you go to the Reports section. I do not see any for creating financial statements. It would be great if you could add more than one column option to a report. Currently we are copying and pasting exported reports to build our desired reports. We have to export 12 financial reports to get to the 6 we want.

Link Tasks to the Stages in Opportunities
It would be great to be able to link tasks to the stages of an opportunity. Opportunities with tasks has the possibility to create a wonderful roadmap; however, not all stages take the same amount of time to be accomplished. When fostering relationships or solicitating money, these opportunities are dependent on each individual experience, independent of each other. While one relationship may take days, another may take months or even years. To have tasks have to be set by time and not stage, is to say that each opportunity takes exactly the same amount of time, while clearly, they do not.
I would love to be able to click a new stage and have it populated with tasks specific to that stage of the opportunity. When that stage is complete, I would be able to select the next stage, that too would bring with it a new set of tasks specific to that stage, and so on and so forth until the opportunity was completed. Stages in opportunities has the possibility to act as a roadmap and if you made tasks in opportunities linked to stages and not time, you could truly unleash how opportunities is and can be used. New hire training videos that I could assign upon hire
I have them do the walk me trainings but I would love deeper dive new hire training videos that I could assign (beyond the walk me trainings) upon starting work? I have all our initial trainings saved but so much has changed in CSuite since we initially became a client in 2021.
I am aware of YouTube but that is by date order and mostly updates. Looking for a subset of area specific trainings, grants vs development vs finance vs marketing.
Please consider this. Due to updates to CSuite alot of our instructions that were created upon our start has changed.

Ticket Purchaser & Guests In One Spot
Would like to see ticket purchasers and guests all in one spot. Currently, you can only see a list of ticket purchasers and the number of tickets they've purchased and then the "guests" of these ticket purchasers are in another area (guest list). Would be great to see the guests underneath the ticket purchaser, similar to how the campaign invitee list formats guests/household members (you have the invitee and then below them & to the right will list their guests or household profiles with their email info, all in one spot).

New profile change - updating addresses
With the new profile updates, I noticed that when I change an address associated with a household, it does not ask if I want to update the other addresses within the household. Can we please have this feature restored? I now have to go into each profile and update the address which is time consuming.

Spendable distributions scheduling
The ability to schedule when spendable grants are to be made would be very helpful. We currently maintain a spreadsheet that lists funds, grantees, and timing of grants to know when to go "grant spendable" each year. Being able to set the date to be granted on the beneficiary would be most helpful. I'm thinking something along the lines of the recurring grants process.

Impact Investing
With Impact Investing becoming a more prevalent means of helping our communities, it would be very helpful to have a way to allocate these loans to multiple funds without having to have an outside massive spreadsheet to "revenue share" manually and account for repayment manually to each fund. The loan feature does not work for this as that is only allocable to one fund and Investment Strategy does not work as you can also only allocate one per fund.

I'm on a call with several scholarship managers, several of whom use foundant and we want to be able to communicate with students via text for reminding them about applications, followups, etc... What a difference that would make!

Bring back counts in Fund Statement generation
See attached below. This is what it used to look like when I would generate fund statements (back before a lot of updates), I WOULD LOVE THIS FEATURE TO COME BACK!!!!
I generate the files but someone else reviews and it doesn’t provide a number now until the review is complete, which does not help me in making sure all have been accounted for prior to sending for review.
This is what shows now but it gives me the number AFTER the fact.
It would make my life so much more efficient to have this feature back in the generation phase.

Please bring back the switch to electronic function on cheques
I'm not sure why support has asked me to post this on the Idea Lab since this was a function we used to have but is now it's missing on the left hand menu. It seems more of a support issue, but here goes.
Today I had a situation where an incorrect cheque number was entered in a 2018 transaction. I can’t fix this because it goes back way too far. Normally what I do is click switch to electronic on the left hand menu and make a note on the reconciled printout of the cheque number.
Now switch to electronic is no longer on the left hand menu. Is this a permanent change? I’m really hoping no, because in this case I had to delete the Check ID of a physical cheque I had already printed and re-do it as electronic. Now the Check ID number doesn’t match the printed cheque. It’s far more messy than before.

HH Profiles: Add link to individuals in top box (similar HH in Individual Profile)
LOVE THE NEW PROFILE FORMAT - but can members of a household be links at the top instead of under the relationship tab?
From an individual profile, you have the link to go to their household profile, but it doesn't work the same way going in the opposite direction.

Credit card acknowledgement tax receipt for events
Could you allow a different credit card tax receipt template for an individual fund, which is hosting an event and thus needs a template that says only a certain portion of their donation is considered tax deductible? Or, alternatively, allow us to turn off the automated credit card tax receipt for that particular fund? Right now it is an all the same or nothing option for credit card tax receipts.

Separate the closing of the last period of the year from the closing of the year
Fund statements cannot be run until the period is closed so we open and close periods multiple times during a period so we can provide fund holders with timely statements.
Unfortunately, each time the last period of the year is closed the system generates retained earnings entries. If you open and reclose a period, the system deletes the retained earnings entries and repost.
The multiple deleting and reposting results in thousands of deleted retained earnings entries at year end. Currently there is no way to export or run a report on all deleted gl entries (view is limited to 1000 rows and the export does not work) so it is difficult to provide backup for audit on the missing journal entries.Fund statements cannot be run until the period is closed so we open and close periods multiple times during a period so we can provide fund holders with timely statements.

Foundant is considering integrating Docusign with GLM & SLM. Is this under consideration for C Suite as well? We'd love to have this integration capability on the C Suite side too.

Increase character count in grant description field
It would HUGELY helpful for us to have more than 250 characters in the grant description field on grants for longer descriptions and details that the grantee needs to receive without having to create multiple custom fields on the fund or profile to pull into the letter.
We share our designated scholarship criteria in this way, and those can be anywhere between 1000-3000 characters.
