  1. We would like to be able to assign check templates to funds. We have our default check and several other check templates. Almost all of the additional templates are specific to certain funds. It would be great if we could set a default check for each fund.

  2. When you search for an org on the portal in the GrantReq tab using the name of the org and the city and state, but type out the state name, it does not show any results. You have to format the text field as the two digit code (OH, VA, etc.) not the name (e.g. Ohio, Virginia, etc).

    Can this state field be changed to a table rather than text field? Or can it be inclusive of both state codes and states spelled out so it's user-friendly?

  3. We love the bulk update functions in custom reports for grants. It would be incredibly helpful to have the option to bulk upload IDs and then gain access to the bulk options for grants.

    For example, we are tracking grants for Hurricane Helene, which requires pulling reports and sorting in excel. It would be worlds more efficient if we could bulk upload grant IDs to mark the custom fields on these grants at once (vs. going one at a time, incredibly time consuming during a challenging time in our state).

  4. Create custom report option that includes unsubmitted grant carts, fund name, steward, grant details, and requested by, so stewards can receive automated report emails prompting them to follow up with donors who have unsubmitted carts.

    And in the interim, please add Fund Steward to the exiting Fund Advisor > "List Carts" area so we can swiftly divvy these up for follow up.

  5. When the profile of a Nonprofit Organization is edited, it would be awesome to have some sort of reminder that there is a Nonprofit profile associated with it that may also need to be updated. For example, if an organization profile has a new primary contact and it is also tagged as a nonprofit, most of the time that means the Nonprofit profile primary contact also needs changed, since they are not linked.

  6. Please add Primary Fund Advisor field to the Profile Fund custom report. Currently there is no way to see which funds do not have a primary advisor or have out-of-date primary advisors, without opening each individual Fund record. It's making system setup and maintenance unmanageable.

  7. It would be nice if we could write comments for fields. It would enable us to have in-line recommendation for our conventions when entering new information. The system already does this as provided by Foundant, for instance:

    When entering a donation, the donation field has italicised text next to it "Donor wishes this donation to be anonymous" when in edit mode. It would be nice if we could add that kind of text ourselves to any field so that when we had edit mode open, it would show us our own recommendations for fields.

  8. Currently event ticket sales is the only place to post an item to sell where the proceeds will benefit the fund. This is confusing for some folks how it appears to the buyers. We are selling a book where the proceeds will benefit one our funds. In the future there could be campaigns selling a t-shirt or other items with all proceeds benefitting the fund.

    There is the ability to customize the text in the portal. Headings can be edited in Portal Options>Portal Settings. Then select the profile designation you would like to edit. Button colors and colors on the button text can be customized, but not the text within the button.


    In the same section, Portal Options> Portal Content controls text in different areas of the portal. Please reference the help article for further instruction.

  10. As the CFO, I work on fund clean-up and other grants movement all the time. It would be helpful if grants went to the Approval bucket in Vouchers so my CEO could approve all of the week's payments at once and I wouldn't have to ask her to approve grants constantly. OR so I don't have to constantly change the Settings in Grants back and forth. Maybe this is a toggle within the grant creation? Thanks for considering this idea!

In the Fund Advisor portal, on the Grant Request form, there is no indication (such as with an asterisk) which fields are required, so a user must click the submit button before they are advised which fields are required. It would be nice if required fields could indicate they were required when the form is first loaded.

  12. We have some donor advisors who have endowed funds and want 100/50/etc% of their annual distribution to go to the same organization each year. Currently they can only set an amount for a recurring grant recommendation, but since their fund is subject to a spending policy their spendable balance amount varies year after year. Setting a percentage vs. an amount would be helpful.

  14. Consider adding Donation Comments/Donation Notes to be visible under the Grantee and Fund Advisor tabs (similar to how they are now available on the donor tab).

    The Donation Comments/Donation notes were recently added to the donation portal, but we find the larger use case is for the Grantee and the Fund Advisor to see the Donation comments in their portal tabs. Without this, they are missing important context and have to be interacted with manually by our staff to continuosly provide this information.

  15. Most of the donations they receive come in as checks. Would like to be able to set a default payment type that will autofill check as the payment type, unless they change it to something else.

  17. We would like to able to assess a yearly minimum fee that is not at the end of the calendar year but at the end of Q2. If we could adjust the dates for minimum fees that would be very helpful for our process.

  18. Reposting with more clarification-

    We need the ability to style Affiliate/SO Portals on the back end, previously this was in the "Donor Portal Fund" section of styles (see attached screenshot). Currently, all of our affiliate/SO funds will lose their specific branding if we enable the new Portal enhancements. We consider this a priority to move toward the new portal to ensure our partner funds/foundations are properly identified to their stakeholders.

  19. Would really like the ability to invite external people, such as financial advisors when they are sending out tasks from CommunitySuite. Ideally, they would be able to select profiles from within CSuite to add to tasks, which would send the invite to the staff people and the external person's calendar.

  20. Would really like to have the ability to include meeting invite information in a task when it is sent ouf of CommunitySuite. Ideally, would have another field on the task, in addition to description, where they could enter Zoom meeting credentials, a room, etc.
