  1. It would be helpful to be able to split accounts by functional expenses. For example, Occupancy accounts may not change allocation year over year, so it would be great to be able to set Occupancy accounts to be, for example, 75% G&A, 25% Program. You have enabled allocations on vouchers, but it appears accounts have to be set up as all or nothing, and that is not overly helpful.

  3. There are formatting problems when creating reports, statements, tax receipts, etc. in French. In terms of the text, it is easy to select the correct language templates (FR or EN in our case). But when it comes to formatting of dates and numbers, it is important for these to come correctly from the system.

    In French, the date format should be: YYYY/MM/DD or Le DD MM YYYY if written out in words, with the name of the month written in French (not English) and beginning with a small letter (not a capital).

  4. Please update the font details in dark mode OR give users the ability to select different font colors in addition to a theme. Some of the functional details in reporting for example are very difficult to see in dark mode. For example, the "x"s to the left of the filters and the arrows on the columns that denote, for example, an ascending filter are almost the same color as the background in dark mode. It's hard to see what filters are acting on because of this.

  5. We would like to ensure that the check memo line is being populated in the NACHA files for grants. Right now, we have to copy over the grant descriptions into the check memo line once they make it to the voucher module. For regular vendor vouchers this is not an issue because we are manually entering this data, but when it comes to grants the description is only copied to the reference number. However, the NACHA file pulls in the check memo line for bank payments which means that our team has to copy over the description for each electronic…

  6. Brainstorming integrations that would allow gifts of appreciated assets in the giving hub. As a nonprofit, we use the giving block widget on our org website, which is clunky to have to send donors out of the giving hub to a separate page to create a donation such as crypto, stocks, DAF. Is there a way to work on coding these integrations into the giving hub, like we do with Stripe. Can a donation page handle more than one integration?

  8. Birthday / Anniversary Checkbox
    Add a checkbox labeled “Send a Card” to the Birthday field (Individual) and Anniversary field (Household). This should be checked by default, except for donors who have opted out or for minors where sending a card would be inappropriate.

  9. With the addition of custom fields to Notes, we know the custom field is available for use in regular Notes and Opportunity Task Notes, as well as available on Opportunity Notes. The custom field appears as a reportable field in custom reports for Notes and Opportunity Task Notes but NOT for Opportunity Notes. My assumption is the custom field should show on the Opportunity Note report based solely on the objects being used in that report (i.e. Opportunities and Notes). Can the custom field please also be connected/available for the Opportunity Notes?

  10. I noticed a suggestion a while back to include $0 funds in the Financials: Fund Balance Report, and I would like to bring that back up. Or else a custom report where you can pull balances as of a certain date, not just the Current Balance. This would be extremely helpful for various reasons.

Currently, if an internal donation/grant is made the fund name is listed as the contributor on the gift summary in the fund portal but the Community Foundation contact information is listed on the Contributor Summary. Is there a way to list the grant/donation advisor contact information if one has been entered.

  12. As a community foundation with defined impact goals
    I want to be able to show a fund holder what they have contributed toward those goals
    So that I can inspire them to give more to the impact areas.

    Another application of this functionality would be to show the fund holder a breakdown of all their grants by grant type.

  13. When checks are generated in CommunitySuite, the written dollar amount currently appears in the following format:

    Two thousand two hundred and forty-eight dollars and 47/100

    This format includes “and” within the whole-number portion of the amount. While grammatically correct, it differs from the more common U.S. check-writing convention, where “and” is typically reserved for the cents portion.

    Example of the commonly used U.S. format:

    Two thousand two hundred forty-eight and 47/100 dollars

    This wording is standard in many U.S. accounting systems and check templates, so the current format can appear unusual to finance teams that are accustomed to the U.S.…

  14. When processing grants, it would be very helpful if we could assign a letter template to a specific payment type. If a default payment type is saved for a grantee, it would be great if CSuite could automatically generate the correct letter. Currently, we have to manually select the electronic payment letter when processing grants paid by ACH bank transfer.

  15. When working with Endowment Funds we have to remember to calculate the spendable balances for the fund each year. It would be great if Csuite allowed you to set a date that spendable balances were automatically calculated for you.

  16. Recurring grants are not automatically added to the main grant bucket when they come due, whether monthly or annually. Instead, you have to manually open the recurring grants section and move them over yourself. This creates a risk of missing scheduled grants, especially if you only have a few. Automatically moving recurring grants into the main grant bucket at the appropriate time would prevent these oversights.

  19. We would love to see an option to add a thank you call/letter task to every donation made in CSuite. Allow this to be toggled on or off for every donation received or set to donation ranges ie: 20-500, 501-1000, etc... We can set a task now to go in and check for donations made, but if there has been none it becaomes a task that we can ingor rather than a triggered task. It woud be great to be able to set alerts or task to be assigned to any staff member to call or send a thnak you…

  20. Many foundations need a quick way to identify donors who have not made a gift within a specific date range (for example, donors who have not given during the current fiscal year or within the last 12 months).

    Currently, users can filter the Donor Report by Last Donation Date, or view Year-over-Year donation columns, but there is no simple way to directly filter for donors who have not given between two specific dates.

    -Identify board members who have not yet made a gift this year
