Restrict logging in as other Users to the Admin security group
The current functionality allows any user with permissions to Login As (UserA) to login as another user (UserB) and act as UserB with UserB's permissions which may be different than UserA's permissions. For example, someone who assists Fund Advisors and has no financial permissions could Login As someone with Accounting group membership and surreptitiously generate and print checks. There is currently a security feature that prevents users who are not in the Admin security group from logging in as a User who is in the Admin group. Data Visualizations on Portal Landing Page
Enhance the donor portal to support dynamic data visualizations on the fund landing page.
Currently, the portal only allows CSS customization in the “head content” area and does not execute JavaScript, which prevents the addition of interactive elements such as charts or dashboards. In addition, the fund landing page does not expose key data (e.g., fund balances) in the page HTML, limiting the ability to summarize or visualize information across multiple funds.
Suggested improvements:
Enable support for custom JavaScript or body-level HTML in portal pages
Provide a supported method for adding dynamic components (e.g., charts, dashboards)

Update opportunities so new funds can be created easily from the opportunity
Add three new features in opportunities, that would allow us to (1) merge Deed of Gift templates with data (much like the send letter field does now), (2) create the fund in CSuite, and (3) have the notes carry forward from opportunities to the new fund profile.
Ideally, we would have these additional fields in the opportunity that we currently use in creating a fund related to the Deed of Gift in the opportunity:

Produce external user guides for the portals
It would be helpful if Foundant produced how to videos or user manuals that is appropriate for external users accessing any of the portals. With the changes to the number of portals and ways to access info, and the pending potential mobile app, it's a lot for us to try to keep up with communication-wise to our fund advisors, donors, grantees, etc. As managers of the system and its changes, if would be extremely helpful if this could be considered when new features are added or changes made?

Consolidated Grant Notify Emails for Multiple Grants Posted at Once
Currently, the Grant Notify feature sends one notification email per grant when grants are posted or unposted. When multiple grants from a single fund are posted at the same time, advisors receive multiple separate emails, one for each grant.
I am requesting an enhancement that would allow multiple grants posted from the same fund at the same time to be included in a single, consolidated email notification to the fund advisor.10 votes -
Assign existing profile note to an opportunity
This was a previous Idea from another user that was archived. I'm reposting it here: "Once a note has been created on a profile, it isn't possible to assign that note to an opportunity. It needs to be deleted and then added to the opportunity. It would help if there were an option to edit the existing note and assign it to the opportunity." This would be extremely helpful as sometimes we have discernment meetings that are captured via notes, but the opportunity does not exist yet. Please remove the requirement for a description when creating a grant in Community Suite. I'd say only a third of my grants have a description. Now I have to do a workaround to include a description in order to create the grant, but edit and remove it so that my grant check template works.

Add Cause/Category Filtering to the Public Giving Hub Fund List
We manage over 900 funds, and donors visiting our Giving Hub have no way to filter by cause area, grant type, or service area. For a donor interested in Animal Welfare, Arts & Culture, Education, or Disaster Relief, browsing an unfiltered list of 900+ funds is not a workable experience.
The data already exists in CSuite — grant type is assigned to every fund. We just need it surfaced as a filter on the public portal.

Can we tailor the email body to be pulled by division? Currently we have a very generic email sent out since our CF has affiliates underneath us. My thought is to do statements by organization, but then we are having to change the default email that goes out. We are really pushing for email or online statements and this would streamline the process and make it more visibly appealing to donors. When you search in the general search box, add "(Closed)" after the fund name. This was a previously implemented idea but I'd love to see a tweak to it - can you change the "(Closed)" to RED letters? I love that it's there but still often click on the wrong fund because it doesn't catch your attention

Address Validation - Default Drop-Down Menu Option
If Address Validation has been enabled, the Default Drop-Down Menu Option should be "Replace with validated address" instead of "Do nothing". This will allow the user to simply click Save instead of changing each address's drop-down option one at a time and then clicking Save.

Donor & Donation Dashboards
We receive multiple internal donations from DAF's when Fund Advisors opt to support our work or contribute to our discretionary granting capacity. These types of internal grants are lumped into the dashboard (and reports) as one donor - us. As a result we are unable to use the dashboard to get an accurate count of "our donors." If cards could be added to the dashboard that equals count of internal fund donors, that would be brilliant!

eMoney is where many donors’ philanthropic decisions are modeled; integration lets the community foundation be part of those decisions earlier, more accurately, and more credibly.

Fundraising Campaign - move the fundraising campaigs to the Donate Tab on Giving Hub
Please have the Fundraising Campaign list in the Donation tab of the Giving Hub, or provide a way to sort campaigns in the events tab so that it is easy to distinguish between an event and a donation. It is confusing, and people think they are looking at event tickets.

Button to click "todays" date
I see this idea has been archived a few times and I think it warrants a second look. Folks that have never used it before wouldn't understand the value but whenever you choosing a date from a calendar, it would be nice to be able to quickly click "today" instead of having to toggle through the month and year. I've had this option in previous databases I've worked in and it's simple but invaluable. Once people have used it, they'll see what they have been missing.
