  1. Provide an optional Dropdown Field on Grant Requests/Recommendations from donor-advised funds:
    - General support
    - Program support (indicate specifics in Grant Description)
    - General support for an event, no benefits are received
    - Grant is for an event, full minimum cost to attend has been already paid in full outside the DAF

    Purpose: Increase due diligence when processing grants

  2. During audits, we reconcile the Net Asset account for each fund. While the total Net Assets for each fund appears as a hyperlink, clicking it does not display any associated G/L transaction history. Having visibility into all transactions tied to a fund's Net Assets would be extremely helpful for identifying discrepancies and resolving errors during the audit process.

  3. This idea has been proposed before but archived for lack of engagement. However, I think it's worth posting again as it would be extremely beneficial to be able to export report to formats other than a plain CSV. For example, if we could export as an excel, it could preserve the hyperlinks in a report.

  5. Adding a Deferred Revenue option when setting up a new Event:

    It looks like when you set up a new event in CSuite you need to select a revenue account. However, our procedures (and GAAP standards) dictate that revenue incurred in months prior to the month when "the performance obligation is met" must be allocated to deferred revenue rather than a current revenue account. Deferred revenue is not currently an option for this, and only back-end journaling workarounds exist to remedy it. The clean fix would be to allow for non-revenue accounts to be selected when setting up an event.…

  6. The fund balances aren't aligning with the contribution, grant, and distribution totals due to credit card processing fees applied to donations. Is there a way for the fund advisor to drill down into each donation or view a separate screen that shows the associated fees, even before the end-of-quarter statement is posted?

  7. If a fund advisor has multiple funds, i.e. an affiliate, on the screen where they can choose which fund to access, is there a way to put the fund balance under the fund name? That way you can see the fund balance without opening each fund.

  8. It would be great if the grant refunds could impact the grant total amount in the same manner as grant cancellations.
    At a minimum, the grant coding from the orginal grant should carry over into the grant refund or, at the very least, have a place to enter the Fund Grant Type Name in the grant refund record.

    When running reports by Fund Grant Type Name, refunds are blank resulting in the need to manually code them in excel each time a report is run

In the portal there is now the option to see household donations, which is a feature we highly requested that was implemented recently (https://idealab.foundant.com/forums/597718-communitysuite-idea-lab/suggestions/48809117-household-donations-on-donor-portal). However, if a profile does not have the donor designation, they are unable to see the donor portal when they log in as a fund advisor, thus are unable to benefit from seeing the household donations. In order to allow these profiles to see the household donations, I'd like a bulk way to set the donor designation on to profiles. This way they can have access to the portal. Otherwise, this household donation visible…

  10. This has been requested before and marked as implemented, but not actually. Every auditor requests an A/P aging as of 12/31/24. Currently, if you select A/P aging, the report looks great and is exactly what you would want/expect. But if you select historical aging, instead, you get a list by fund, no aging aspect, and it's not anything like the current A/P Aging. Please create a report, as this is standard in most accounting systems, that will satisfy the auditors, without us having to export to excel, sort by invoice number, total by invoice number, and then manually age.   11. When importing grants you currently can not import into the payment date field. I would like this field to be added as an import option. If we want to book a years worth of grants when the request is received but schedule grants to go out each month, we now need to manually change the payment date for each grant. This is very tedious and would be great if we could just schedule the grant date and payment date in the import template.

  12. Right now, our fund statements attach to the email as statement.pdf. We prefer more specific naming conventions (ideally the Public Name of the Fund and the Time Period of the Statement) but at a minimum would like to be able to name the PDF with our Organization name.

  13. In the portal, the grant summary does not include an "export" button like the grant history page does. I think adding this would allow for a consistent experience for users. Please add an "export" button to the grant summary page.

  14. A HUGE time saver would be the ability to attach one file to multiple journal entries at once. Currently, if the same documentation needs to be attached to multiple entries, you have to do it one at a time. A button on the main journal entry screen for a "bulk attach file" would be greatly beneficial. Say you could upload the file and then select all the entries it needs to be attached to. This pain point comes up all the time with multi-fund entries for payroll and other various monthly/quarterly closing tasks.

  15. It would be helpfuld to list all invited campaigns under the engagement tab of the profile. Currently it only lists active campaigns. We would like a way to see more historical enagament of individuals on their profile.

  16. When a scholarship becomes a grant there is no way to open all the custom fields for editing, like you can with an original grant. We currently have to select each one individually to edit and we have a lot. Can an edit custom field function on the left nav bar be added?

  17. We would like the ability to run a report that shows which address a voucher payment will be sent to once processed. Our Finance Director would like the ability to review these addresses before approving them for payment to ensure the payments are sending to the correct address.

    Most of our records default to the primary address. A few direct to the pay address if we have used it, and sometimes we enter an address under "other" so it's currently not easy to pull those fields into a report for our director to review.

  18. Customizing the Portal's styles is unnecessarily difficult. In part, this is because the elements on each page are only given generic classes. In particular, the body element has the classes "ft_body" and "portal." But that makes it very difficult to target the content of only one page with a desired style.

    Instead, the body element should be given a unique id attribute to distinguish the page on which it appears from every other page. Ideally, the id should identify the role-based portal in which the page appears and the function of the page within that portal.

  19. Within a grantee record have the ability to customize the fields being populated. Currently they are: ID, Grant Date, Fund, Status, Amount, Sponsored Org, Beneficiary, Description.
    We use grant programs and it would be helpful to identify at a glance what grant program the grant came from. See example below, we rarely use Sponsored Org or Beneficiary. It would excellent to have the ability to customize these columns.

  20. On the Files tab for Affiliates, the default sort order currently displays the oldest uploaded files first, which is inconsistent with other areas of the portal. To improve usability, newly uploaded documents should appear at the top by default.

    While users can manually adjust the sort order using the arrows, setting the most recent files to display first would save time and create a more seamless experience.
