  1. It would be great if an accounting/checkwriting software could be incorporated or integrated with GLM. To be able to award a grant and then have the amount merged with something like Quickbooks so that checks can then be generated would be a real time saver. At the present time, this is the only part of our grant process which must be done outside of GLM.

  2. We would really like to have the rich text editor also available for the email templates. We would like to be able to underline/bold/italics/bullet points/etc for emails that are automated from the system.

    We will often bypass sending an auto email to instead spend the work doing them individually specifically because we cannot add emphasis in the text. Please consider adding this functionality!

  3. Some of our grantees have failed to submit a Follow-Up /Report. Rather than erase them or having them stay perpetually in draft form, can Foundant add an option to mark as "Failed to Complete." Perhaps we could also add a "Waived" option. Many thanks!

  4. Please change the color of the Administrator Comment box!

    When we provide comments for our applicants, they are constantly complaining that the box blends in with the rest of the white and off-white colors and words on the screen. It's true!

    Please change the white box to a colored box or allow administrators to choose the color of the box or change the text color for administrator comments. This small change would improve the applicant experience.

  5. It would be helpful if we could run a report on who the last person was to modify a form. For example, if an admin prints follow ups and marks them complete, it would be great to see who marked it complete if we have multi staff working in the follow up stages.

  6. When sending letters to grantees, I like to let them know which funds their grant came from. We do a lot of multi-fund grants and so I'd like to have each fund and amount listed. Sometimes there are multiple installments from one fund, so I don't want to pull in installment fields. To my understanding, I can only get this information into a merge template if I create custom fields in a form attached to the request (like the approval form) and manually enter them.   7. Would like a way to export the questions that are asked in Application, Evaluation, Follow Up forms via the Reporting function. This would be used to compare questions that are asked across different processes.

To avoid multiple GLM profiles for one organization it would be great to add a feature notifying the person that the EIN entered when creating an account is already in use and restrict them from creating another account. If it is a fiscally sponsored organization then the 00-000000 option can still be available.

  12. Someone else has already asked to add batch printing to the Evaluations stage, but we really need it to go one further, and to allow Evaluators to batch print for themselves. This is the number one thing all our Evaluators, many of whom are reading over a 100 applications at a time, have been asking for for the last several years, and when we switched to Foundant, we had thought we were giving them that, only to find out after the fact that we misunderstood, and they still have to download one pdf at a time.   13. Add to the Follow Up workflow a Deferral bucket.

    We allow most recipients to defer their award for up to one year. It would be great to have this on the dashboard as a workflow option. Of course adding a third function at the bottom of a Submitted Follow-up - "follow-up deffered"

  14. Currently, when building a form in GLM it allows us to sync certain CSuite fields from the grant. We would like to be able to sync the Fund Name from CSuite to GLM.

  15. Every download has the same name. It is confusing when you're downloading many different applications/evals/etc for internal archiving. The downloaded file needs the process name and the applicant name and year when I download. I just end up with ApplicationPacket (1), ApplicationPacket (2), etc., I have to rename every single file one by one so I don't lose track of which is which.

  16. We would love if in the comment section you can add a date, not just have it default to the date it was added. We might go in once a week and add all the emails and comments, but it will only put in the date we enter it. AND if we edit it, it gives a new date, not the one it was created on.

    Wouldn't hurt if we could attach a document to a comment :)

  17. Under the View Organization History system setting, it would be helpful to have an option of "Organization-by-Organization". Right now there are three options 1)All, 2)None, 3) User-by-user. It would be helpful to have it an option for Organization-by-Organization for those orgs who have the same EIN# but separate local chapters (or schools, in the case of a school district). For these type of applicants, we only want them to see their own chapter's information; but for all the rest of our nonprofit applicants, with the high turnover of NPO staff, it's helpful for them to see their entire organizational history.

  20. We typically have multiple organizations who miss the deadlines for our grant reports. We would like to be able to batch edit deadlines for those reports so we can more quickly make them available for completion and don't have to go into each report to edit individually.
