We would like to email our yearly tax receipts to donors, but if a profile doesn't have an email the bulk job doesn't complete and all of the profiles without emails are listed so we can add an email to the profile to them run the job again for emailing receipts. In many cases we don't have the donor's email (when they mail a check for example). It would be great if the job would complete and send to those with an email and then create an 'exception report' for those without an email so we can mail those receipts…

  2. I'd like to have the ability to offer discount codes on event tickets. Right now, there is the ability to create a private ticket, but that is more suited for complimentary tickets. I would like to allow discount codes for a certain dollar amount off. This would help us not have to use ticketing platforms such as Eventbrite, which offer the discount code option.

  3. This was a previous idea (https://idealab.foundant.com/forums/597718-communitysuite-idea-lab/suggestions/46800925-first-last-name-sync-to-mailchimp-added-back) that was closed, not sure why. Like many community foundations, we do marketing! Through Mailchimp! The sync option is great, but missing some important pieces. Please include other fields besides email address. Modern email marketing includes personalization features like "Dear Lucy" which it would be nice to have. Besides the name fields, I could see cases for grabbing ANY other Profile fields during a sync. Perhaps have a dialog screen that asks the user to select/deselect fields for syncing?

  4. When there is an opportunity that is attached to a fund, it would be great if the opportunity showed up on the relationships tab of the fund, just like for individual profiles.

  5. "Grant Letter Template" name as grant report field:

    It would be very helpful to be able to add the grant letter template name as a field to CSuite grant reports.

    This field would allow us to do a quick check of all the recent grants to ensure the right template was applied before printing our grant letters.

  6. Traditionally in financial statements, long-term liabilities are listed after current liabilities. Currently, it's the opposite, long-term liabilities are listed before other liabilities.

  7. Greater Milwaukee Foundation would like a more finance-oriented approach to financial statements and variances. Specifically, when looking that the budget variances on the Income Statement/Budget Column option, the revenue section is correct in that the variance is 'actual minus budget'. However, the expense section is backwards, and should be 'budget minus actual'. We currently have to edit this in excel.

  8. The users should be able to identify the date range that they want to see the Grant History or Donation History for, and to be able to export the results of that date range. We have users who only want the past year or past quarter results to download and right now they are not able to self-serve this way. We have to provide a specific report to them. The new portal should allow users to identify date ranges for the information they need.

  9. When emailing grantees for Electronic Payments, there is the CC email field (which is great!) - it would be super helpful for this field to automatically pull in the Email from the grantee profile that is marked as "Pay". So that the email can automatically be sent to the grantee ED and the person who should be notified of payments.

  10. Often when Foundant support is unable to help with a situation due to product limitations, they'll suggest that I submit it to the Idea Lab. I understand that I have a vested interest and want to see the product improve, but sometimes I'm in a state of doing my best to get work completed. I don't always have time to log into the Idea Lab, search to see if the idea is already out there, then, if it's not re-explain my situation in a new Idea Lab post.

  11. For new portal, please allow the ability to restrict what nonprofits/donors can edit in their public-facing profiles (nonprofits in particular) on a field-by-field basis. An example, we don't want nonprofits to change all fields, only, potentially, their mission statement, and further description. Thanks.

  12. When using the Profile Import and Profile Bulk Update features, it would be great if CSuite auto-formatted phone numbers and dates during the import process. Rather than having to format these phone numbers and dates up-front in Excel, it would be great if CSuite automatically formatted these values during the import process. Getting the choice of how they format (phone numbers with or without dashes, dates with slashes or dashes, etc.) would also be helpful and could be a setting under profile settings.

Currently if you filter on a financial report to include/exclude a fund that is a subfund, the filtering does not apply unless the "Show Fund" and then "Show SubFund" options are expanded first. The filtering should be able to apply without needing to show the subfunds just as it applies to non-subfunds without needing to show those in the report.

  15. There are times throughout the year where it is necessary to put several recurring grants into the system to set everything up for the next year or based upon requests from a fund holder. In order to do this it has to be done one by one in the system. It would be helpful to have a way to get several recurring grants into the system via a front-end import.

  16. Please include a Pledge section/table in the fund statement template. Currently, there are only two fields in the entire fund statement fields list that are related to pledges and they only exist in the donations section/table.

    We are requesting that a Pledge section/table be added to the fund statement template and available fields. Fields like the Pledge Balance, Pledge Anonymity, Pledge Status, Pledge Description, Pledge Total, etc.

    Overall, a section related to just pledges would give our fund holders better insight into the pledges for the fund and what they can expect to be receiving.

  19. A new release has changed my scholarship list to include closed funds and designated scheduled funds. It would make my workflow easier if it could go back to just the list of scholarships that I use instead of having to add filters.

  20. I propose two key enhancements to the Fund Advisor Portal:

    File Upload Feature:

    Allow fund advisors to upload files directly through the portal. This would streamline the submission process for grant requests by enabling them to attach relevant documents, such as proposals and supporting materials.
    Customizable Fields and Questions:

    Implement a feature that allows administrators to add or modify questions and fields in the grant request forms. This flexibility would help ensure we gather all necessary information tailored to different grant opportunities and donor requirements.
