Integrate C-Suite to Zapier
Zapier lets you connect to 2,000+ other web services. Automated connections called Zaps, set up in minutes with no coding, can automate your day-to-day tasks and build workflows between apps that otherwise wouldn't be possible. In particular, we are looking for new ways to do online fundraising given COVID. We would like to work with GiveButter, a platform that will allow us to livestream an event and collect donations at the same time.

Multi-platform integrations via Zapier, Make, MuleSoft, or similar middleware
One of the most limiting things about using Foundant is the lack of connectivity to other platforms that we all use. Even in cases where there is some integration (like with MailChimp) that integration is extremely limited.
I found those ideas all via one quick search in the Idea Lab for the word "integrate." I bet there are many other requests that could also be solved this way.
If you're considering voting for this and want to know more, you can see all of the integrations available via Zapier, Make, and MuleSoft at these locations:
Zapier: https://zapier.com/apps
Make: https://www.make.com/en/integrations
MuleSoft: https://docs.mulesoft.com/connectorsFoundant is a relatively small company and obviously doesn't have the capacity to develop connectors between CSuite and the many platforms we all use.
Instead, I suggest that Foundant focus on developing a connector to one middleware platform like Zapier, Make, or MuleSoft. CSuite could connect to one of these platforms, then users could create integrations between CSuite and many other.
I did a quick search in the Idea Lab and found a number of suggestions that could all be solved by a middleware integration. Here are some examples:

Full System Audit Trail / User Activity Logs should be mandatory
CSuite would benefit greatly from having a comprehensive system-wide audit trail that logs all user activity across every module and function.
Recently we discovered grants had been entered using the “Create Spendable” function, but no user log was available to identify who performed the action. Without that information, the only way to determine what happened is to ask staff individually if they made the entry. When you have multiple staff entering grants, this is important. Not only from an operational standpoint, but from a chain of custody one. We have also had issues with profiles being marked inactive and no log showing who inactivated it. It seems like there are many areas where logs are not being generated.
For organizations that rely on CSuite for financial and grantmaking operations, this presents a significant gap in internal controls and auditability as well as inefficiencies in daily operations.
Ideally, every action in the system should generate a log entry, including:
User name
Date and timestamp
Module and record affected
Type of action (create, edit, generate spendable, delete, etc.)
A system-wide activity log would allow organizations to:
Maintain proper audit trails
Strengthen internal controls
Quickly troubleshoot data discrepancies
Identify the responsible user without staff-wide inquiries
Given the financial and compliance responsibilities of organizations using CSuite, comprehensive activity logging should be standard across all system functions.

Add Secondary Steward to Profiles/Funds
Similar to having secondary assignees to opportunities, it would be extremely beneficial if we could add secondary stewards to profiles and funds. Right now, the limitation to one steward per profile is problematic as we have profiles with more than one fund which have different stewards.

portal grant request
Change the term "Description" on an online grant request to "Grant Purpose." Description is too confusing and donors don't know what to enter in that field.

Use organization domain for email communications
Enable sending automated emails from the organizations actual domain via the use of domain authorization rather than sending everything from fcsuite.com.
Emails from fcsuite.com are confusing, often caught in spam, and it is impossible to ensure that every online customer recognizes and properly whitelists it. This has caused significant overhead on our staff to manage missed communications. In addition, some organizations spend a lot of time and money to build their brand reputation and improve name recognition within the community. The many thousands of automated emails that go out every year should be representative of, and enhance, this investment. While we recognize that for it to work, it does take some DNS and authorization setup on our end as well, many modern cloud-based software systems allow this functionality for just these reasons, so we are proposing that this functionlity be added to Foundant products.

Auto-Populate Names
When creating a profile, I would like to have the already entered First Name, Middle Initial and Last Name fields automatically populate into the Salutation, Recognition Name and Mailing label fields, in order to speed up data entry. Currently this is data that must be duplicated. If, for example, I enter John Michael Smith in the top line Name fields of an individual profile, I would like the Salutation field to be auto filled with John, and both the Recognition Name and Mailing Label fields to be auto filled with John M. Smith (taking the first initial of the middle name). The suffix field could also be an optional choice field to auto populate depending on each entity's preference or requirements. This would be a huge time saver.

Create VIEW ONLY proxy / "login as" permission
My team finds it incredibly helpful to proxy in / login as a donor to help them navigate the portal. Right now, if you have the proxy in permission, you are able to make grant requests and changes to the constituent's profile and fund. The system log does not mark those actions as the person who proxied in. It marks those actions as though the constituent made the changes. This is critical for audit purposes and creates several security and control issues.
My request for fixing this issue is to either create a VIEW ONLY option for proxying in as a constituent.
OR
Update the system log to be able to identify that an action was done by an employee who proxied in as the constituent.

Portal: ACH Option
With the addition of ACH information to the portal, I propose adding a verification button to improve security and accuracy. Verifying ACH details before use is a standard best practice to minimize user errors and prevent fraud. This feature would notify the foundation when new ACH details are added, prevent unverified transactions, and reduce errors and fraud by allowing a temporary hold on banking information being used until verification is complete. Implementing this feature would enhance data integrity, security, and overall operational efficiency.

Add Donation Type: Properties
Please add a new Donation Type as "Properties" with a sell function similar to Public Securities entry and sell processing. Our foundation receives donated properties that must be "sold" that have gain/loss that needs to offset on the correct asset general ledger account. This would be a huge help to the Finance Department.

Dark Mode
Please add Dark Mode support for CSuite on a basis of user. It's become incredibly commonplace over the last several years and some of us prefer a less intensely white interface. I've attached an imperfect screenshot of what this may look like.

Enable RSVP "No" for events
Right now people only have the option to "purchase" the ticket to indicate that they are RSVP-ing "Yes". It would be extremely helpful to have some way for people to indicate that they RSVP "No."
The "RSVP" field under a campaign currently populates based on Yes/No they have responded (bought a ticket) as opposed to Yes/No if they are attending.
My larger hope would be that this field is used to see either:
1) they RSVP'ed "yes" and plan to attend,
2) they RSVP'ed "no" and cannot attend, or
3) they have not RSVP'ed at allPerhaps there could be a ticket type that is "RSVP Yes" that requires contact info and the detailed questions to be answered while another that is "RSVP No" that only requires their name. Generally more freedom to change what info we want from people depending on the "Ticket" they are "Purchasing."

Login As --Removes user's existing login
I know that Login As was intended to bounce the user out of their own CSuite login when used; however, I would ask that you reconsider this approach. From a Customer Service perspective, this is a nightmare. We most often use Login As when on the phone with a Fund Advisor (and now could be anyone with portal access), to help them troubleshoot either getting into the system or working with the system. If we then have to answer any questions that require us to be logged into CSuite ourselves, the portal user has to wait while the customer service user opens a new browser, goes through MFA and logs into CSuite. But, oh, guess what? They are now logged out of Login As.
Secondly, for any organization that uses a default browser and/or a password manager, we now have to maintain browser short cuts, password manager log in and MFA in two separate browsers! This is a lot to manage--especially when you have a customer on the phone.
We had previously had no problem proxying as a Fund Advisor and keeping our own version of CSuite open. We really need to have that ability back in the new portal, so that we are able to service our customers effectively.
The final issue with this is basic ability to validate and troubleshoot our own externally facing site. I'm trying to simply walk through the site to document updates and I can only do so without being logged into CSuite at the same time? How do we validate what is displayed vs what we see in Csuite? In the 10 minutes that I have been trying to document requirements, I have had to log into Csuite about 4 times now. This is not a good customer experience!!

All Record of Recurring Grants are Deleted by Fund Advisor in Portal
We just discovered with the new portal that when a fund advisor clicks "Cancel Recurring Grant", all record of the recurring grant is deleted out of the system. This is WAY too much access for the fund advisor to have. If they accidentally delete it, we can't view logs to see when it occurred or retrieve attached files to the recurring grant.
Please allow us the ability to turn off certain features in the portal (like cancelling a recurring grant) for fund advisors if we don't want to take the risk of information being deleted without our consent. These types of logs and records are critical support and backup that we provide to our auditors, and without it, we are in a very bad position from documentation for our audit. At the very least, allowing us to "approve" a cancellation would be ideal, as I could see a fund advisor accidentally clicking "Cancel" and it provides no warnings.
