Integrate C-Suite to Zapier
Zapier lets you connect to 2,000+ other web services. Automated connections called Zaps, set up in minutes with no coding, can automate your day-to-day tasks and build workflows between apps that otherwise wouldn't be possible. In particular, we are looking for new ways to do online fundraising given COVID. We would like to work with GiveButter, a platform that will allow us to livestream an event and collect donations at the same time.

Multi-platform integrations via Zapier, Make, MuleSoft, or similar middleware
One of the most limiting things about using Foundant is the lack of connectivity to other platforms that we all use. Even in cases where there is some integration (like with MailChimp) that integration is extremely limited.
I found those ideas all via one quick search in the Idea Lab for the word "integrate." I bet there are many other requests that could also be solved this way.
If you're considering voting for this and want to know more, you can see all of the integrations available via Zapier, Make, and MuleSoft at these locations:
Zapier: https://zapier.com/apps
Make: https://www.make.com/en/integrations
MuleSoft: https://docs.mulesoft.com/connectorsFoundant is a relatively small company and obviously doesn't have the capacity to develop connectors between CSuite and the many platforms we all use.
Instead, I suggest that Foundant focus on developing a connector to one middleware platform like Zapier, Make, or MuleSoft. CSuite could connect to one of these platforms, then users could create integrations between CSuite and many other.
I did a quick search in the Idea Lab and found a number of suggestions that could all be solved by a middleware integration. Here are some examples:

Login As --Removes user's existing login
I know that Login As was intended to bounce the user out of their own CSuite login when used; however, I would ask that you reconsider this approach. From a Customer Service perspective, this is a nightmare. We most often use Login As when on the phone with a Fund Advisor (and now could be anyone with portal access), to help them troubleshoot either getting into the system or working with the system. If we then have to answer any questions that require us to be logged into CSuite ourselves, the portal user has to wait while the customer service user opens a new browser, goes through MFA and logs into CSuite. But, oh, guess what? They are now logged out of Login As.
Secondly, for any organization that uses a default browser and/or a password manager, we now have to maintain browser short cuts, password manager log in and MFA in two separate browsers! This is a lot to manage--especially when you have a customer on the phone.
We had previously had no problem proxying as a Fund Advisor and keeping our own version of CSuite open. We really need to have that ability back in the new portal, so that we are able to service our customers effectively.
The final issue with this is basic ability to validate and troubleshoot our own externally facing site. I'm trying to simply walk through the site to document updates and I can only do so without being logged into CSuite at the same time? How do we validate what is displayed vs what we see in Csuite? In the 10 minutes that I have been trying to document requirements, I have had to log into Csuite about 4 times now. This is not a good customer experience!!

Simplify/Merge the Grant Request screens
It would be so helpful to have the Grant Request primary screen be combined with the Grant Request > Choose Type screen. There are SO many screens for our donors to click through on the new Grant Request options. We liked in the legacy portal that you had the options on the same primary page. Also, would be helpful to have the option to edit the Type buttons text.

Custom Reports: Opportunity Tasks & Notes
We currently don't have a way to get a report that shows both the opportunity tasks and their associated notes. Without this ability, any report available leaves out critical information, such as when tasks are completed, or when users enter a completion note. Can this be added?

All Record of Recurring Grants are Deleted by Fund Advisor in Portal
We just discovered with the new portal that when a fund advisor clicks "Cancel Recurring Grant", all record of the recurring grant is deleted out of the system. This is WAY too much access for the fund advisor to have. If they accidentally delete it, we can't view logs to see when it occurred or retrieve attached files to the recurring grant.
Please allow us the ability to turn off certain features in the portal (like cancelling a recurring grant) for fund advisors if we don't want to take the risk of information being deleted without our consent. These types of logs and records are critical support and backup that we provide to our auditors, and without it, we are in a very bad position from documentation for our audit. At the very least, allowing us to "approve" a cancellation would be ideal, as I could see a fund advisor accidentally clicking "Cancel" and it provides no warnings.

Formatting for "Amount" fields in all Content areas
Please format the "amount" field for all Content notifications to display as $#,###.## (e.g., $64,500.00). Formatting currency with commas is essential for clarity, especially with larger numbers.
I realized a similar idea was posted but later archived. https://idealab.foundant.com/forums/597718-communitysuite-idea-lab/suggestions/42438682-amount-formatting-in-content

Donor Portal Financials - Only Allow Reporting on Closed Periods
We would love to enable the option for fund advisors to run manual fund statements or view financials. However, if we enable this, they can run these on any time period, closed or open. Until we close a period, information in an open period should remain internal only and not be available to fund advisors as it is subject to change. We have donors who would get upset if they saw something change from one day to the next.
Can the portal be configured to only allow financial reporting and manual fund statement generation for fund advisors within closed periods? I've been told that investment reporting only occurs on closed periods, so it seems like the functionality may already be available or easily converted to be similar. Obviously, staff still need the full access, but the donors do not need this confidential information until we are ready for it to be published.

1099 - Add Mailing Address to Report
The 1099 report pulls the Primary address for a profile, but we need it to pull the Mailing address, the Primary for us is the Physical address. Please add a column for the Mailing Address so that we do not need to check each profile and update addresses before submitting.
I also suggest that you add a column for primary email address as then we could email the 1099s through the filing systems.
Thank you!

Expand capability of "add note to CSuite" Outlook integration
Thank you for creating the Foundant for Outlook add-in with the "add note to CSuite" feature! I would love to see the "add note" function expand to include profile Opportunities. We encourage our staff to use the opportunities area to document many types of communications, so it would be great for us to have the option to use the Outlook add-in to create a note within an existing profile opportunity when an email is sent or received (maybe this could be an option nested under the existing profile search?).

Column Spacing for Fund Statement List on Portal
On the Fund Statement page of the new fund advisor portal, the list has 3 columns -- Description, Date, and View. The Date column is much wider in the full page view and the description is too tight. Is it possible to better space those columns so that it fits better the width of the information in the column?

Indicate required fields with an asterisk
A great enhancement would be to indicate which fields are required when creating a new record (profile, donation, grants, voucher, etc.) --- such as an asterisk to indicate that a field is required. This is a well-known standard.
Currently, the only indicator is an error message when saving/posting.77 votes -
Portal: Display donor mailing label or recognition name instead of name
Options for how fund advisors see donor info -- When displaying donor info to a fund advisor in the portal, we should have options for how the name is displayed. In many cases, it would be great to have the Mailing Label field (e.g. J. Jackson Smith) or Recognition Name field (e.g. Jack Smith) showing instead of the Name field (e.g. Smith, Jonathan Jackson).

New Portal: Add "Grant to Another Foundation Fund" as a button on the Grant Request Page
In the legacy portal there is a clear way for an Advisor to search for another foundation fund to recommend a grant. In the new portal you have to click "Previous Grantee", even if the Advisor has never given to that fund before. There should be a button that says Grant to Another Foundation Fund so that Advisors know where to go to make interfund grants. This is especially important for emergency & disaster response funds and giving circles. Please make it clearer so our Fund Advisors know how to recommend grants to other funds at the foundation.

Fund Advisor Options - Donations and Grants Emails
We would love the option of toggling donations and grants notifications BY THE FUND for fund advisors. We add designated funds for our designated fund recipients so they can see previous year's grants, BUT we don't want them to receive the grants notification email when the grant is made, since some funds benefit more than one organization.

Toggle off closed accounts in bank reconcile
I would like to be able to toggle off the closed accounts in the bank reconciliation page. I see the sense in being able to see them sometimes, but I think the reconciliation page will become cluttered over time.

Unwanted Updates to Bank Reconcile
Please bring back a couple of features with Bank Recs!
Please allow for sorting transactions by check number again. I can now filter to only checks but they're not always in order and I don't see any way to make it so.
Allow for easier unreconciling/rereconciling. It used to be if I had to fix something from three months ago that required unreconciling the bank account, I could rereconcile with only one click. Now I have to go in and uncheck every transaction for the following months, reconcile the first month, recheck all the items for the second month, reconcile that month, and then go in and recheck all the items for the third month to reconcile it. Huge downgrade!

Fund Advisor - Student Data
We have many scholarship funds, and a common complaint from our scholarship "fund advisors" for years has been that they could only see the school and not student names. We use the fund advisor functionality for donors who have started the fund and/or committee members so that they have access to view activity/fund balance. The new portal has the toggle to "Show Student Data", but it is sharing WAY too much personal information of a student, such as home address, email, phone etc. We are not comfortable sharing this detailed information with anyone who has fund advisor access due to privacy concerns.
Could there be options for the student data similar to the donor data, where we can pick and choose which portions of the student record could be shared? Under Fund Advisor, we can choose to only show the donor name, and hide phone, email or mailing address. It would be wonderful to have those same options for student data, instead of an "all or nothing" like it currently is.

Ability to edit Profile Fund Link categories versus deleting and relinking
Allow Profile Fund link Categories to be edited vs having to delete the Profile Fund link and adding the fund back with the newly desired Category. Example, we are changing 'advisor' to 'primary advisor' or 'secondary advisor' and having to delete the Profile Fund link w/ 'advisor' category and then adding the fund back with the Profile Fund link of 'advisory-primary' or 'advisor-secondary'.

Recurring Alerts on Home Menu
My idea is for the Donations, Grants, and Vouchers on the dashboard to be outlined in a red box when there are recurring donations, grants, and/or vouchers to process. This is similar to what happens to Tasks when there is a task with a due date on or before today's date. It will make it easier to see what action is needed right on the dashboard.

Don't allow Agency Funds marked Private to be shown as a donation option when the portal access is not marked as able to donate to that fund
In the new portal, if a fund is marked private (like we do for agency funds that only accept contributions from the agency itself, not the public) it is currently showing up as an option to donate to when she goes to the Giving Hub via her donor advised fund dashboard.
Example: Jane Doe is a fund advisor on both her family donor advised fund and she's a fund advisor to the Pawsome Animal Clinic agency fund, for which she serves as a volunteer treasurer. Even though “Donate” is not checked in her advisor access options for the Clinic's agency fund, it still shows up as an option to donate to it when she presses the Donate navigation (which moves to the new Giving Hub).
We strictly follow FASB136 guidelines and thus no person or entity may contribute into an agency fund besides said agency. This did not occur in the legacy portal; thinking it was a missed connection when moving to the new portal.
