  1. Please make merging documents as easy as using merge for batch emails. It's ridiculous after all these years that the workflow for doing this is still so clunky.

    1. download the field codes
    2. make sure you no to answer "No" when the popup comes up
    3. copy and paste the codes into the template in Word
    4. upload the template
    5. go to Requests and Decisions and search for the appropriate requests and decisions, and
    6. create the documents.

  2. It would be helpful to have answers that were selected earlier from a drop down list be able to carry over to another part of the application.

    Totals from tables carrying over to a budget summary table would also be useful.

Having administrative Internal answers from a previous grant application (for example, we have in Internal question group where we provide additional information for our grant review committee) copy into a new grant application when the applicant is using the copy feature from their last cycle request is not ideal.

  4. Currently, if I copy a table in another application like Excel or a web browser, it pastes all the values into the destination cell. It would be great if I (and our grantees!) could paste or upload table data from other sources.

  5. Currently, SLM has no "delete committee" functionality, so every committee you ever set up stays visible and junks up the view. I would like to delete one year's committees and set up the new year's committees, as personnel change from year to year. Thanks!

  6. Similar to a CRM, or email software.. Being able to add "tags" to an organization would be extremely helpful.

    Some grant opportunities are specific to certain organizations based on location, the cause they represent (arts, animals, economic development, etc.) or possibly the size of organization/if they are new.. and so on.

    Utilizing a tag system would allow us to search for these characteristics quickly and batch email vs. going through our entire organization list and hand-picking who is eligible every time we announce a new grant opportunity.

    One argument is to send each opportunity to everyone on our list, but…

  7. When building a table question, It would be GREAT to be able to edit read-only cells. I confirmed with Support that at present, read-only cells do not allow you to edit their content other than their label, yet applicants cannot see cell labels. This means that any read-only cell that is not in a summary row will always show up to applicants as a blank cell.

    This is confusing because it makes it seem like you have the option to do something you don't, e.g. put readable content in read-only cells. I would love to be able to do something…

  8. It would be nice to be able to see how much traffic our Foundant site gets from applicants. For example, does traffic go up after we run social media posts? We can currently run a report to show applications in any status, but that doesn't capture everything, like people who log in to work on an application that remains in draft status.

  9. It would be great to have the completed follow-ups more easily available from the Requests & Decisions page. Currently, from "Requests & Decisions" completed follow-ups are only accessible by choosing "Follow-Ups Assigned" and then selecting each individual request/organization. I think the narrower group of only follow-ups that have been completed would make workflow better for admins using this page to navigate different requests, as well as board members, evaluators or grant managers who want to view completed follow-ups. For us, there is currently no way for our board members to easily get to completed follow-ups on their own, without being…

  10. It would be great if students could use the applicant copy functionality from processes to the UA and vise versa. We have both stand alone processes and a universal application (different timelines). We have approx.. 250 students who apply to both. It would be great if they could import answers from one to the other.

In the past few months, I've seen a high increase in applicants emailing and calling saying they cannot find the "Administrator Comment" when I revert back to draft, so I logged back in as the applicant to see what the sudden confusion is - it's incredibly hard to find in the applicant view! When I MAKE an administrator comment, there is a blue highlighted strip across the top. We often have project names that are the same or very similar making it really hard for our Finance department to know if they are making a payment on the right grant or staff to know if we are closing the correct one. We are familiar with the request ID being something we can pull on reports and then hoover over the bottom of the screen to verify that we're in the correct grant when performing of these tasks, but it would be extremely helpful if that request ID could be visible maybe somewhere on the Award Details tab or…

  15. It would benefit if evaluators can view the average score page, like an administrator has access to. Currently each evaluator has to drill into each application to view the average score. And if you have 20-50 applications to review, it is frustrating and time consuming to come up with the average score for each application. Viewing the application Evaluation page listing all applications and their average scoring would be helpful.

  16. From what I can tell, applicants are unable to delete application drafts. I realize as admin we can delete drafts but I am wondering if applicants would delete drafts is they were able to. We have many draft applications that seem to be abandoned. I was going to make a practice of deleting draft applications once a year so they don't pile up. I wonder what other do

  17. We would really like to have the rich text editor also available for the email templates. We would like to be able to underline/bold/italics/bullet points/etc for emails that are automated from the system.

    We will often bypass sending an auto email to instead spend the work doing them individually specifically because we cannot add emphasis in the text. Please consider adding this functionality!

  19. I accidentally deleted a comment since I was not use to the new dashboard look and See More is sort of hidden in the preview of the comments. Foundant couldn't do anything to help. Would be great if there was a recently deleted or bold the See More.

  20. Please restore the site settings allowing admins to designate specific org page fields that can be updated by applicants. I recognize that not every client wants this, but as a trust-based org, we'd like to give our grantee partners the autonomy to update their address on their own rather than having to reach out to us. (And if you all don't recall how this used to work, please reach out to me for more details.)
