  2. This is reopening and combining a few previous ideas. We have tons of note and task types, please give us the ability for separate types. It would be so helpful if we could streamline them by changing them from one type to another as can currently be done with profile types. Thank you for reconsidering this option.

  3. Please leave the closing of the last month on fiscal year separate from closing the fiscal year. I like to close our last month while the audit is going on so nothing gets entered while they are working. After the audit is complete the fiscal year can be closed.

  4. With the location of the copy button without a "sure you want to copy" confirmation the way you do with deletions, profiles can get copied without users realizing it. There is a message that comes up but if someone is typing they completely miss it. PLEASE add a confirmation for copying.

  5. Currently, the Fund Advisor Login Log only shows Fund Advisors who have logged into the Portal with Username and Password. Since most/all first-time portal users log in with email and PIN (and some may continue after that), we would like to be able to track all portal users that are logging in -- whether using username and password, and/or email and PIN. Currently, there's no visible record of portal users logging in by PIN. This results in things like receiving grant requests from Fund Advisors without a record of a fund advisor having logged in, and when portals are launched,…

  6. Want donor's marked as anonymous to be anonymous in 990 report export. Some donors have to be completely anonymous and can't even be identified in 990.

  7. Currently the only billing "Terms" available for use on Vendor records is "Due on Receipt". Having the ability to edit this field to include additional billing terms would allow for more complete vendor records and assist with payment schedules.

    It would also be beneficial if the "Due Date" field auto populated during Voucher entry should specific "Terms" be selected on a Vendors profile.

  8. It would be helpful to have the ability to bulk edit the status of opportunities to complete. We are using them to track sponsorship/donation requests for our gala. There are hundreds each year. It would be nice to be able to close them all, for that year, at once when our event is complete.

  9. Since we need to collect all student's personal information to report to the Canada Revenue Agency every year, currently, we must manually enter each student's SSN to their CSuite profile. In our process, we ask for a student's SSN and direct-deposit information on a follow-up form that must be completed after they have been selected to receive funding. It would be great to have a function that can import this information from the SLM follow-up form to their CSuite profile.

  10. Once clicking to sync the Sandbox site to the Production Site, it would be good if a message popped up once the sync is complete. Currently a message before syncing appears saying that the Development site will be offline for about 5 minutes and the sync will take place. But there is no message alerting that the sync is complete.

  11. A HUGE time saver would be the ability to attach one file to multiple journal entries at once. Currently, if the same documentation needs to be attached to multiple entries, you have to do it one at a time. A button on the main journal entry screen for a "bulk attach file" would be greatly beneficial. Say you could upload the file and then select all the entries it needs to be attached to. This pain point comes up all the time with multi-fund entries for payroll and other various monthly/quarterly closing tasks.

  12. It would be helpful to streamline the Create Grant Request options in the new portal. Here is a suggested change:

    Once someone clicks the "Create Grant Requests" button (the one at the top of multiple pages) -
    provide the following option tabs:
    Previous Grantee
    Search Grantee
    Manual Grantee
    COPY PREVIOUS GRANT RECOMMENDATION
    EDIT OR CANCEL RECURRING GRANTS

    This makes more sense than asking fund managers to go to a completely different tab on the left side navigation to complete what is essentially all the same task.

  14. In support of requests from our auditors, we need a report that combines all money-in -- both donations and invoice payments. However, we have not found a way to create that in Custom Reports. We are looking for a way to combine both donation details and invoice payment details.

    Unfortunately, just the GL detail won't work for our auditors. They like to make their sample selections based on payment method and gift type - so we are looking for a way to pull this information or combine in the least painful way possible. Some of this information is obtainable from…

    7/29/2024: Reports-Funds: Added Allow Additional Advisors field to the fund report. Nonprimary fund advisor address information will need to be populated on the Fund Advisor report. Added Parent Fund Name and Parent Funit ID. Added Need Primary Advisor Boolean Field to the Fund Reports.

  16. It would be great when creating GL account (and other records) to have all fields visible upon initial entry vs. having to edit after saving. It would ensure the complete set of data accompanied the record, and save time.

  17. We would find it very helpful if there were an internal description line for fund statement batches. We use the external/donor facing line for the date/date range of the statement. As we create statements by fund group in order to provide development and donor services with their specific fund statements, all groups simply say 'July 1, 202X-09/30/20XX'. We have to select each individual batch in order to find historic information when needed. A 'Batch' level internal description would be most appreciated to assist us in saving time. For online gifts, one donor calls the honoree Dr. Joe Smith, another, Joe Smith, yet another Joseph Smith...currently, that makes 3 completely different tributes, when it's the same person and the same person or family for a memorial should get notified...that's a hot mess. Also, is it fair to assume we in the position of entering a check gift would know that there is an existing tribute?? In my clicking I learned that you can merge them, but really...perhaps you could combine the two fields and if there is an existing tributed person they would pop us and we could…

    8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.

    The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and  have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item.  This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field.  This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.

    A status field has been added to tributes. By default, all tributes are now public.  The public status will allow…

  19. One frustrating thing about the left menu is that menu items move up and down the list in seemingly random order, depending on which screen you're on. I think the first step is to the most common items at the top of all pages. First priority should be "Add task" and "Add note", then "list", "search", and "edit".

    Another nice touch would be to make the blue box at the top of the left menu function as a "home click" so if I click the blue box it goes back to the root menu for that section.

In other DBs I’ve used there is a way to export a complete donor/prospect profile report that lists all information in the person’s record (contact info, prospect ratings, relationships, giving, granting (is applicable), notes, etc. in an exportable report – preferably into Word or a PDF. This is very useful for us to use as a working doc in a prospect meeting. (Perhaps I’m just to old school, but paper one can make notes on is still very helpful.)

    Another VERY helpful element would be the ability for Foundant to pull in fields from one of the major prospect research…
