  1. It would be very helpful to have a detailed general ledger report of all the transactions for a particular fund or set of funds to review data. Most systems have a report that is often requested by auditors and fundholders to get a complete picture of all the detailed line items that have gone into their fund.

    This report would make it easier to review data.

  2. For audit purposes, it would be helpful to be able to change a fund group type at a point in time instead of changing all of history. We have memorial funds that come in as "Unrestricted" but turn into restricted scholarship funds (or others). When we change the fund group it changes the data for all of time which makes our ending balances for PY not match beginning balances in terms of audit categories.

    Right now we are closing the memorial funds completely and opening a new scholarship fund but this has us lose the donor/donation history for the fund.

  3. Would love to have the "Reconcile List" button that takes you back to the list of reconciling accounts within the completed bank reconciliation page. As I'm now approving bank recs within CSuite, I currently have to press "Back" and then "Reconcile List" once I've approved a bank rec and I'm ready to go to another one.

  4. With the addition of ACH information to the portal, I propose adding a verification button to improve security and accuracy. Verifying ACH details before use is a standard best practice to minimize user errors and prevent fraud. This feature would notify the foundation when new ACH details are added, prevent unverified transactions, and reduce errors and fraud by allowing a temporary hold on banking information being used until verification is complete. Implementing this feature would enhance data integrity, security, and overall operational efficiency.

  5. It would be great if we could have a function called 'Tag to Close Fund' that allows you to tag any fund that needs to be closed and then can be assigned to someone through a task or something comparable.

  6. It would be great to have the ability to freeze the fund names on the left hand "name" column when bulk editing funds. Currently when you scroll to the right you lose the names of the funds you are trying to edit and it's really difficult to complete edits.

  7. It would be nice on the bank reconciliation to show a list of outstanding items with the totals at the bottom of the bank reconciliation, so it's a complete report which will tie into the Balance Sheet.

    • (02-13-2025) Bank Reconcile - Settings: Add a new setting "Enable Bank Reconcile Approval". Enabling this setting will add a new column to the Bank Reconcile list of accounts titled Approved By. This will allow a user (with display and list permissions to Bank Reconcile) the option to approve the reconciliation. The user that approves the bank reconciliation must be different from the user that reconciled the account. If the account is unreconciled, the approval will be removed. Two additional columns, reconciled by and approved by, were added to the bank reconcile page. These columns will be populated by the user that reconciled and approved the reconciliation from this point forward. Historical reconciliations will display Foundant Technologies in the Reconciled By column.

    Make donation now, complete donation, anything would be better.

  9. When a donation is completed online, the Log does not reflect when new contact information is automatically updated on an existing profile. We need to be able to see when a new address is created at the time of checkout to at least give us the opportunity to contact the donor to confirm the new address should be marked primary and the old inactive, when applicable.

  10. Past users sometimes create Opportunity/Note/Task types that are no longer useful to current staff. Please create an option to make those types "Inactive" rather than simply deleting them - we may want to keep the historic data in CSuite, but NOT on the Drop down list. It would help to clean things up and streamline categories.

  12. Add an option so when a fund advisor logs into the donor portal, that our organization can have a question pop up for them to answer (and of course they don't have to respond) but we would use responses to gather data to more targeted communications.   13. General Ledger Report

    I just completed my first audit using CSuite. My auditors missed having a GL report that listed all transactions by account with a beginning balance and total for each account, with the overall GL total at the end of the report.

    To do this in CSuite, I had to run a GL report for each account as running the GL report for the entire FY did not have a beginning balance - even though it could be sorted by account and formulas added for account sub-totals once exported into Excel.

  14. Would really like to have the ability to include meeting invite information in a task when it is sent ouf of CommunitySuite. Ideally, would have another field on the task, in addition to description, where they could enter Zoom meeting credentials, a room, etc.

  16. Ability to link (preferably automatically) the credit card fees associated with a campaign ticket purchase to the campaign on the statement of activities.

    This would provide more complete financial data related to a specific campaign/event

  17. Hi, I like the recruiting/volunteer options in the opportunity section. Unfortunately, the opportunity access right doesn't give me the option to allow BOT to access only recruiting applicants without seeing the fundraising opportunities. I'll suggest 2 options:
    1-Having access right by the "Opportunity Type"
    2-Move the volunteer and recruiting members options to another tab for more flexibility.
    It will be a great tool for BOT members to add tasks/notes for incoming members before the election.

  18. Include donations advised by the donor in the 'My Donations' tab on the portal. Without it, donors are not seeing their true complete giving history.

    2/15/2025:Portal - Portal Options - Portal Settings - Donor: Added new settings for the Donor page in the portal to display household and/or advised donations. With the Show Household Donations, a donor can view their individual donations and the household's donations. They will not be able to see any other household member's individual's donations. With the Show Show Advised Donations, a donor can view their individual advised donations.

    Portal-Donors: Added Household and Advised columns to the donation listing. This will allow donors to see if a donation is an advised donation or a household donation, if the setting is enabled in Portal Settings-Donor: Show Household and Show Advised Donations. These columns were also added to the export.

  19. When you offer a meal choice in a campaign, we would like to see registering guests only have the choice to make one meal selection and the meal selection should be mandatory. Currently, it appears guests can select more than one meal choice or they can completely skip that step and still register.

  20. It would be great if the "List " option when you're in a fund profile could be set to show ONLY open funds. Instead, it shows all funds, even the many that have been closed over the years. I would assume most staff using CSuite for day-to-day tasks would utilize the "open" fund list more than the full list!
