  1. Currently there is no automatic notification to notify the user that their request for approval is approved. Normally the personal with approval authority is very busy. The extra time spent to send an email confirming the request has been approved is very inefficient. Please add automated approval notifications so the staff requesting approval can be ready for the next step in their process.

  3. We would like to be able to filter the donation report by cumulative donations in a specified time frame. We send certain mailings to donors who have cumulatively donated $501+ per year (even if they've made multiple $100 donations to equal $501+) and right now the Donation Amount filter only filters those who have made a one time donation of $501+ or more. We also send certain mailings to donors who have made cumulative lifetime gifts of $10k+. There is no way to filter by this option to easily add to a Campaign.

  4. Currently the first log item for an Online Grant Request is once the grant is created. However, the grantee can be changed before the grant is created. If an incorrect change was made to the grantee field, there's no backup of the original Fund Advisor's request. Please have the log show when changes are made to the grantee before the online grant request is created.

  5. The payment date for grants should automatically become the check date. It doesn't make sense for the payment date to be the date it was entered and causes confusion with donors wondering why organizations haven't received checks when the payment date is before the grant date and/or before the date checks are run.

  6. Since one of the primary purposes of Community Suite is customer relations management (CRM), there needs to be more sophisticated options for recording contact with donors. Right now the only way to do this is to add a note for each contact. Other CRM systems I have used make it much easier to open a box to record each contact: date, nature of contact (phone, email, visit, etc.), who made the contact, etc. This should be stored in such a way that it is easy to pull up a list of all contacts with a particular donor.

  7. Currently, when a donor adds a donation description to a Stripe donation it is housed as a note. It would be nice if the description was plugged into the "Description" field (currently description is "Online Donation") so the Fund Advisor can see all donation designations from the portal, and the tax receipt pulls the donation description field

  8. I would like to be able to pull a financial report that would give me current month actual, annual budget, ytd actual and prior year month actual, and prior year ytd actual. We currently give our board current year information and prior year information to determine how we are doing.

  9. Can you please have the chat box stay up on the screen instead of disappearing each time you have to move to a different tab, it's very annoying to have to restart the chat each time.

  10. One of the most limiting things about using Foundant is the lack of connectivity to other platforms that we all use. Even in cases where there is some integration (like with MailChimp) that integration is extremely limited.

    I found those ideas all via one quick search in the Idea Lab for the word "integrate." I bet there are many other requests that could also be solved this way.

  12. It would be great to be able to choose more than one donation type to charge an Admin Fee to. I have an Admin Fee for 2.5% on each donation that comes into the fund. But it does not pick up internal donations or stock donations. I had to add two more Admin Fee Types to get this done, rather than being able to choose all three from a drop down list.

  13. It would help to streamline workflow if we could edit the Share File option in the Upload File(s) window, instead of having to upload the file and then scroll down on the Fund ID and then select the option to share the file.

  14. There are times when a tax recpt/ty template used for a donation may need a tweak or personalization for various reasons. However, if we do that, we then don't have what we actually sent the donor on the particular donation record bc we downloaded the letter at made the edits in word. Unless we then save and upload to have the proof. PITA. Please please put an editor/template creator in the software so we can have everything we do in one place!

  15. When you go into the General Ledger search... it would be beneficial to have a from account number and to account number to get a consecutive series of general ledger accounts.

    Example GL 63000-65000.... it would show all the transactions for those accounts. It would be grouped by the GL with subtotals. Every accounting software I have used has had the option to pull a series of general ledgers like this.

    This is not feasible with the new financial reports being released this month since the general ledger would have the description on it. We use the descriptions a lot…

  16. Ability to link (preferably automatically) the credit card fees associated with a campaign ticket purchase to the campaign on the statement of activities.

    This would provide more complete financial data related to a specific campaign/event

  17. It would be very beneficial if there were column views on ALL of the financial reports. There are column views on the balance sheet and income statement.... but can it please be integrated in the trial balance and detail trial reports? There are certain reports we ran and need from FIMS that we could get exactly what we wanted if we had this option.

    The reports we are pulling now in place of it have way too much information on there that is not needed. If I can pull a detail trial with certain accounts selected then have a column…

  18. When generating the admin fees, I would like to see the total calculation that the fee is being processed on. It shows in a description box but not in a column on it's own (nor does it show the total). Would be very helpful to make sure fees are calculating on portfolio balances accurately. This was something that FIMS included on their admin fee report, it showed both the full portfolio balance along with the fee column.

  19. Please split the Voucher bucket into 2 different buckets. One for Vouchers that have been created and one for items awaiting voucher. It is very confusing to try and figure out if an error is made or something missed when creating grant vouchers and having them stay in the same bucket once created.

  20. I am in agreement that they s/b able to correct their contact information but I think it would be better at the profile level to then be toggled "inactive" instead of disappearing altogether "deleted". Instance that just happened they removed their work email and replaced with a personal email, which is fine but now the work email is no longer on their profile at all. Please change to inactivated vs deleted when changes are done on the portal.
